[At the behest of Don, and because Robert realizes his family will be panicking, Robert eventually gets the courage to send a message to Mike. It's more uncomfortable than the one he sent Leo, but no less genuine.]

... D-Don is safe. He's with m-me, in the apartment next to mine... He has what's l-likely a very strong migraine, but he's o-otherwise alright...

I hardly know what's unusual behaviour for him, but it strikes me as odd that he would not have contacted anybody by this point.

[Robert kind of blinks at Don's gestures. Nothing he recognizes, of course - it makes sense that the Luceti translation abilities wouldn't stretch to sign-based languages, unless the Malnosso took those into account...

Still, he can tell it's a language. He just can't tell what it means, at all.]

Mostly he's just glad to see Mike and Don are on good terms still. Or at least, they seem to be.

It's a bit of a respite in the craziness of the ten days.]

[That question will indeed need investigation. Though Robert doesn't look or sound okay, at the moment... he still looks tired, and drawn, and sad, and with way too much on his mind swimming in his gray eyes.

But he's at least coherent and functional which is more than could be said for Don before Don got ibuprofen into his system.

The scientist has been following the conversation - and though he can't understand the signs, he realizes at the glasses-miming that it's probably supposed to be something directed at him. This hypothesis is supported when Don glances up at him.]

D-Did you need me for something...?
