But his thoughts are still muddled. Something in him tells him that this is alright. That there is suppose to be someone near him, but when that someone suddenly becomes nervous, upset, and jumping out of bed that things come rushing at him.
He had been married. To someone he didn't even know.]
YEEE-HAAA!
[With what might have been considered a comical yelp, had the situation hadn't been so cruel, Vash finds himself falling to the floor as Vivi flees the bed. He's not sure to be happy to be tangled in that blanket or cursed it for hindering his escape.
As if this wasn't bad or embarrassing enough; all his scars are back. Damn, he's going to miss that chest that didn't look like it was being held together with bolts and glue ( ... )

[She'd been warned about the experiments, of course, and had thought she'd be prepared, but she'd never expected something like this.]
[Vivi twists off the faucet and pats her face dry with a towel. She straightens the hastily thrown-on robe and belts it properly, then takes a moment to brush her hair--with her hairbrush, brought here at the experiment's start. She wonders idly whose home this really is. Once she's made herself more presentable, she feels a little calmer, though her hand still trembles slightly as she reaches to unlock the door. Part of her almost hopes that Vash won't be there when she comes out; in a lot ( ... )

Ahhh! You don't have to do that! It's not your fault! Well, I mean- we didn't want to - NOT THAT I DON'T THINK YOU'RE A NICE PERSON! Very nice in fact! But just, you don't need to apologize! Nothing happened thankfully so no harm done! Hahahahah... right?

[She gropes for something to say that isn't another apology. At least Vash seems to be a nice person, but she's not sure that makes it any easier. She feels a compulsion to introduce herself to him properly, despite it being a little redundant, and lacking anything else to say, she follows that impulse.] I know you already know, but my name is Vivi. Nefertari Vivi. ...I wish we could've met under better circumstances, Vash-san.
[...this is too strange. Maybe it would be better to leave and get back to the house.]

[She opens her mouth to speak, then pauses, weighing her words carefully. She doesn't want to spurn his offer of friendship, but it's just too soon to think about that right now.] Perhaps in the future, Vash-san.
[Vivi lowers her head, lightly massaging her forehead near her temple. She feels the beginnings of a headache coming on.] ...I'm sorry. I should go. [Back to the house she shares with her nakama. It's not home, but it's the closest thing she has here.]

Ah, yeah. Of course. Me too. I don't have much to take, but later if you need help moving your stuff- [A very brief pause, he was going to offer to help himself, it was a natural offer for him, but no, maybe it would be better to stay away for awhile.] - I'm sure there will be lots of people willing to lend a hand in the village.
[He takes a quick look around the room. Besides his coat and boots there really was only one thing of his he wanted back. He finds it sitting on a night stand. The picture of him as a boy and Rem he had been gifted last Christmas. He makes a quick grab for it and then ducks into the bathroom for his coat.]

[She waits for Vash to emerge from the bathroom before trying to speak to him again.] Vash-san, please understand, it's not personal. ...I just want a little time, that's all. [She sighs. It's odd how there's some lingering affection for this almost-stranger--nothing as strong as the feelings of love she felt over the past several days, but she doesn't want to see him upset...though she wonders if she's not making things worse.]

All his important items in hand he moves to escape out the bedroom door with a kind smile and a wave.
Vash didn't have a lot of time to act sad around Vivi this past week, but maybe she still remembers that this is just his way. To smile and keep going when he's hurting like crazy on inside. Doing anything to make sure others around him are still comfortable and happy around him. She's welcome to take his happiness at face value or catch on to his tricky. Vash hopes for her sake she'll take it at face value.]
