Then Alf remembers what he never should have forgotten, as well as what never should have existed (it was all fake? But it had felt so real -- ) and he lies there in shock as the memories sweep over him. This combined with all the negative feelings and thoughts leave him unmoving, and he visibly flinches when he's brought back to reality by Cheyenne's voice calling his name.
He stares off into space for a second or two. Everything starts to fall back into place. He faces Cheyenne, surprise painted on his face.]
I -- Cheyenne . . .
[Even now, he's still trying to regain his bearings. He almost doesn't know what to do with himself.]

[Although she can't see it, he nods rigidly (and rather anxiously) when she suggest changing. It's not often he's talking to a member of the finer sex in his nightwear. Not to mention, they shouldn't be in bed the whole day.]
No, I think it'd be best if we both got up. Or -- are you tired? Do you need to rest?
Reply
I am not so tired that I cannot wake now. [And she's walking over to her closet to look for something to wear...]
[Oh, but first naturally that means getting undressed. Which Alf may not realize she intends to do right now until that shirt starts getting pulled off over her head.]

Cheyenne!?
[And promptly whips around, very, very flustered.]

...is everything all right?

Y-you don't have to get naked out here.

[Staaaare.]
[And head-tilt.]
I cannot be expected to get dressed while I am already wearing clothing, Alf.
Reply
I-I'll leave for a minute so that you can get dressed.
Reply
...you said you would stay.
[He can't see it of course, since he obviously isn't facing her right now, but she's frowning.]
Reply
. . . Yeah.
[He takes a couple of steps backwards, carefully so that he won't fall. Then he steps, though his back is still facing her. He cocks his head a little to the side, so that his voice can be projected better while he doesn't look at her at the same time.]
I said I would. . . . I'll stay.

[But this was indoors. In her room. With someone she was just sharing a bed with. Clearly, there is absolutely no issue with this. Which leaves just one conclusion:]
[Something just don't make sense.]
[She doesn't say anything, but turns back to her closet and feels for a dress to wear. Most of them were textured, so it was easier to tell them apart... in a few moments, she turns back to Alf, fully clothed.]
I'm dressed now, Alf.

Which is why he exhales a breath he hadn't realized he was holding until he does, turning around to face Cheyenne with a sheepish smile. He'll put off dressing for himself later. At his own apartment.]
Y-yeah. You are.
[ . . . that was terrible.]

Will you be getting dressed as well? I'm fairly certain you didn't arrive here in your pajamas. [She just... can't see where his clothes would be at. Because clothes don't move, okay.]
Reply
[Which is actually a very, very embarrassing thought now that he thinks back on it. He frantically looks around for his clothes -- ah, there they are. On his side of the room, rather than where Cheyenne is standing. Thankfully, in a way.]
I don't think I should get dressed here, though.

[There's no sense of accusation in her tone. She honestly doesn't see why he wouldn't want to just change right now when it was convenient to do so. People didn't normally just wear their pajamas around outside, after all.]
