[She sees those wings. It makes her eyes narrow and her mind automatically line up the distance and angle she has to throw the knife in order to -

No, they're on the same team this time, aren't they?

He's fighting something. And she's just watching, out of the way. For now.]

.......yes. I mean, uh...late day 2? imatreenow June 9 2011, 06:38:59 UTC
[Mithos is fighting a lot of somethings. One of their favorite tactics seems to be overwhelming opponents through sheer numbers and driving groups apart.

There's hardly time to cast spells in such close-range combat against so many. Until he can find an opening to do so, he launches a quick burst of mana from his left palm at one soldier before swinging his sword at another. Repeat as two more close in on him, spears ready. Even with his power, it's never-ending.]

[She moves closer, watching now from lower down in the trees, but trying to keep out of sight of his attackers.

Because what if they overpower him and come for her?]

[No matter how many he pushes back, their forces don't seem to dwindle.

Then the enemy soldiers get smarter after being thwarted with similar tactics several times over. Half a dozen lunge for him simultaneously, and he can only parry so much with his sword. He manages to evade the brunt of the attack, but a few of the spears graze his side, shoulder, back. A grunt of pain as he begins to curl in on himself. There's no time to clutch at the wounds and try to stop the bleeding - he needs to remain on the defensive. He tries to ignore the feeling of his clothes steadily becoming wet with his own blood.]

[Spears, are they? Well then. It won't take more than a few of the correct cards to blast the tips right off of them, burning or slicing through the wood near the base of the point.]

[He takes this opportunity to swing his sword across the shoulder of one of the now un-armed soldiers, effectively bringing him down. Swiftly, he moves on to another, but this one has had more recovery time to put up some resistance.

With his keen senses, he had seen the onslaught of cards clear enough. There's something familiar about it... Still absorbed in battle, he can't risk glancing around to pinpoint the source of the assisting attack.]
