[Rain was not usually a problem for Raven, a monsoon however was something else entirely. The loud noise being caused made it difficult to hear approaching troops, not to mention the severe lack of vision. Being so far away from the main camp only made things even worse.
Rather than continue on the offensive front, he decided it would be best to retreat, lay low and find shelter. Not that finding shelter was an easy task when the rainforest was even more of a maze thanks to flooding rivers and waist deep swamps. Thankfully, he managed to find the ruins he had passed a few days ago. Even though he knew they were more than likely full of Third Party soldiers and traps, he didn't have much of a choice in this situation. Survival was the most important thing, if he could make his way back to the camp then that would be an added bonus.]
[OOC: This is plot locked to someone, to save spamming up the comm with an entry about the same thing. I'm lazy and you know who you are.]
I hate ta say this, but they're more than likely already in here... Let's try and lay low. That rain is loud enough to filter out most noise, we can make a break for it when it settles.
[He moves over towards the wall, peering around the corner. It seems vacant for now, but there was no way this place was going to be empty. Even the Third Party needed shelter.]
I'll only blame you if you're the reason they detect us. [just looking around as well, trying to get an idea of their situation.] Perhaps we should test it before moving in.
If ya think that's a good idea, then let's try it!
[He readies his bow, aiming towards the end of the corridor. It looks pretty safe, but suspicious. As the arrow flies down however, a large horn sound blows through the echoing ruins.]
[Without thinking, he grabs her hand tightly, pulling her into following him as he retreated down a pathway. He could hear the clattering of metal heading towards their current location. But going outside was too risky, they needed to stay dry until the monsoon breaks. So for now, they were stuck playing a game of cat and mouse in the ruins.]
[okay, grabbing of the hand was not expected. but she's not about to protest. instead she just follows, keeping pace with him while taking the occasional glance back.]
Then we'll just have ta keep movin' and take out any soldiers who happen ta spot us. That's all we can do... dammit
[He leads her around a corner, the passageway is much larger and there are noticeable holes in the cieling where the heavy rain is pouring through. It's difficult to hear clearly once again.]
[her eyes dart around, trying to see if she could spot any other opening. she just happened to look upward towards the holes when she felt something just barely graze her.
a thin spear just large enough to fit some of those holes.
she glanced up again just in time to-]
Raven!
[-pull the older man back just before another one landed right where he was about to step.]
[The spear wasn't the only thing coming through the holes. The Third Party soldiers began to invade the corridor, reclaiming their weapons and setting their targets to the duo.
This was bad, and took Raven by surprise. It took him a moment to click back to the situation at hand, he didn't expect a spear to have landed in front of him like, let alone being pulled back at random.]

Or... we could run! That's a better idea!

But we can't run away forever, and we can't lead them back to the base, either.

We'll have ta fight!

Then stop dithering and fight! [and she's already letting a few arrows fly.] If we're lucky some of them will activate more of those traps.
