[Amelia normally walks purposefully, her head held up, her focus set. But not now. Oh no, now Amelia's got her arms folded protectively over her chest, and her eyes dart around quickly at--well, just about anything. Something could happen, after all, and where would that leave her? Alone and helpless, that's where.
So, what happens when someone finds her? Is she standing on a table, screeching at the mouse who got into the kitchen? Or maybe straining to reach the top shelf at the grocery store for that last box of cereal way in the back? Or it could be the heel of her boot has broken off, and now she's limping pathetically up the stairs.
Whatever it is, clearly Amelia needs help. All are welcome, but especially the big, strong men. No one is better suited to help a damsel in distress, after all.]
XD Afraid not! I just got home from work.goldenglassesJune 13 2011, 23:26:59 UTC
Get it? [Vash looks. Aw, look at the cute little thing. He smiles at it.]
Wellllllllllllllllllll now, how did you get in here my little friend? You don't belong in our kitchen! [He turns with an amused laugh towards Amelia.] I never would have thought you'd be afraid of a mouse!
Ah. Okay then. Maybe you could go get my box for me? It's in my room. Just, take the donuts out first. [A pause.] No, leave them in there. [He was just about to eat them anyway!]
[That sounds like a good plan, and Amelia nods at the instruction--without commenting on it. Slowly, with her eyes still on the mouse, she makes her way down from the table, then all but dashes from the room. Truth be told, though, she is feeling better, just for having someone else there who can handle it.
A few minutes later, Amelia peeks her head back in.]
Don't worry. He hasn't moved. [Vash holds out a hand for the box.] You know, he's more scared of you then you are of him. [He's decided not to tease you too badly right now. He's guessing this is something you'll be over in a week or two.
And THEN he can tease the hell out of you as long as nothing strange and embarrassing happens to him this week.]
Amelia nods at Vash's statement, although it doesn't look like she takes it to heart from the way she creeps back into the room, eyes on the mouse. She hands over the box, still full of donuts, then moves safely behind Vash.
[Vash takes the box, quickly popping two of the donuts into his mouth at he carefully sets the other aside on the table. He eats one more before slipping on an oven mit and advancing towards the mouse.]
Niiiiice mousey, good mousey. Hold still! [Vash creeps closer until the mouse finally freezes in it's nibbling to stare at the potential threat approaching it. Then he leaps forward in an attempt to slam the box down on the mouse before it can run away.]
[...Yeah, Amelia's not going to wait to see if you're successful there, Vash. Hope you didn't want the rest of those donuts. She may have stepped on them on her way back up onto the table.
Well, Vash has managed to catch the mouse as it runs into the edges of the box trying to get away, but Vash can't bring himself to stand up and look just yet.]
A-Amelia-chan? Did you just smash... all of my donuts?

[Amelia points over to the corner, where a perfectly harmless and somewhat adorable little mouse is chewing on a piece bread.]
Get it!

[Vash being there is helping, however, and Amelia ventures a little closer to the edge of the table.] Don't just leave it there. Get rid of it.

At least she's not on the table again? Yet.]
