Amelia's week could only be described as horrible. From its beginnings with Legato through the assorted mishaps since, there have been no end to the stresses and strains--or now, the leaves stuck in her hair. At this point, the one thing she hoped for was to make it safely back to the apartment, find the bathroom empty, and claim the tub for an hour of safe and much needed soaking.

She was making her way through the plaza, paying less attention to her surroundings than picking the last of the leaves from her hair, and of course being certain her hat stayed firmly on her head. A stray gust prompted an almost paranoid grab at the brim, blocking Amelia's vision just long enough for her to bump into someone walking nearby.

"Oh! I'm so sorry." And so clumsy, a trait she's displayed in abundance this week. Amelia looked up at the (very) tall man, recognizing him as the one who crashed through Vash's ceiling a while back. "Are you okay?"

I don't think I can say "Nobody dies on Razlo's watch" with a straight face. What is this event.

It had been enough of a challenge for Razlo to protect the general populace of Luceti from Livio, but now that the blonde haired idiot he normally associated himself with was now planning to take a life was enough to send him over the edge. Even if it was Legato, it was now absolutely unacceptable for anyone to die for any reason. Finally he had mentally beaten Livio back down so he would have the chance to completely pilot

Vash's voice pulled at his attention, Amelia surprised him by stepping into the line of fire, but it was something else that really distracted him in that moment.

For just a moment, his hold on Amelia's attacker wavered-- briefly disoriented as the man's mental fingerprint simply... changed. As if he was now somehow holding a completely different person.

The pause didn't last long, however. Legato could feel the rage and tension building in every muscle of the stranger, and so tightened his mental grip just a little pointedly, before finally turning toward Vash.

"They're right. You're aiming your gun at the wrong person."

Wait. What was that new guy yelling about? This was wrong, all of this was wrong! "Get out of the way Amelia." Not that he's worried about hitting you, he's got a clear shot of Legato's head, but he's just so confused by the two of you. It'd be better for you to get out of the way.

While killing was out of the question, but a solid beating wasn't. It was something he was more then willing to threaten in order to bring this situation to an end. The emotional tension within him was rising and with that his sanity was slipping into a more manic state.

"Hey. Hey. Hey. Hey. Hey. Hey. Hey. Hey. Hey. Hey. I'm not kidding. If you kill him now I'll make you wish you were never born."

It wasn't an empty threat either: he was both keenly and personally aware at how much physical abuse a body could take before it ventured into potentially lethal territory. It was now more then anything he wanted to break away from Legato's hold and mercilessly beat some sense into Vash before it was too late.

Vash hesitated. Was that man talking about him? He couldn't be talking about him. Yet for now he was the only one holding a gun.

"What are you talking about?! He's going to kill you!"

This was crazy, had everyone gone mad while he wasn't looking?
