Her sobbing will build in pitch until someone speaks to her, in person or over the network. She won't notice the journal, open and transmitting on her bedside table, until someone draws attention to it.]

[Giles' voice is quiet, largely because he's trying not to be overheard by the very large Garuda circling the patch of Celesta Woods that he's been chased into. God, it's cold.
Even so, after taking a breath, he forces himself to speak more loudly, and a little sharper. If Ingrid is hurt, he needs to at least get a location out of her.]
Ingrid!

G- G- Giles?

[The sound of very large wings flapping echoes overhead, causing Giles to breathe in sharply and go quiet for several seconds.
When he speaks again, the soft crunch of snow is filtering over the network as well.]
Are you hurt?

Just that it's cold.
And the birds are enormous.

It might be the village, or it might not.

Do you think... we've actually been sent home? Or... [She's starting to feel more like herself, and she wipes the last remnants of the tears off her face and pushes her hair out of her face.]

I'm going outside now.
[She doesn't move, though.]

[Giles gives her a few seconds before, gently:] Do you need help?
Reply
I'm fine.
[Okay, she'll get up now. She'll stay in her pajamas for now, but she ties up her hair and faces the door. Pause.]
Are you doing alright, Giles?
[She's stalling.]
Reply
[Yep, he's good.]

I'm going out now.
[She takes in a deep breath, puts her hand on the door knob, and turns it.
Nothing. She rattles it again. Locked.]
Or not.
Reply
[That isn't quite computing for Giles. Granted, most of the environments he's landed in have been outdoor environments. Not a lot of opportunity for locking.]
Are you trapped?
