It happened over a... c-century before my own birth. But it would n-never have happened if pre-Terran humans had... n-not been so careless and short-sighted...
[He exhales, slowly.] Such problems have been nearly completely averted, now, though. There are precautions taken to ensure that they d-do not repeat themselves. [Not that Terrans like to admit they make mistakes, though Robert's certainly not associating this with a Terran mistake.]

I only hope that... other pre-Terran multiverses do not make the s-same ones. But obviously some must have, to be in... similar situations...
