Summary: Yuan's been returned from his kidnapping and jumps to all the wrong conclusions. Mithos uses it to his advantage, like the manipulative little jerk he is.
Rating: PG-13?
[The first thing Yuan becomes aware of when he regains consciousness is a disgusting, bitter taste in his mouth. The second is a severe strain in his muscles, like his body's been exerting itself to the point of breaking. He can't seem to remember why this is. Nor can he remember why he's lying face-down on a cold floor. All he knows is that it has something to do with a kidnapping.
Despite the hallway being well lit by lamps that are hanging from the ceiling, it takes a few moments for his eyes to focus. Where is he? This place seems familiar- he knows he's been here before. It's a... a tunnel, yes. A tunnel that wasn't there before, but opened up a few years ago and leads out to... a desert? While there's a hint of doubt about that, he can clearly remember there being a desert. And didn't he live in a desert? It wasn't really a home, but he did live there. Outside a village called Triet. So the tunnel must lead out to Triet. If he lives outside this place, what's he doing down here now? Why can't he shake that feeling about a kidnapping? It just doesn't click. Something's missing.
Carefully, one hand pressed against the wall for support, he pushes himself to his feet. A slight hiss of pain escapes him as he does so. Something on his back flutters restlessly, almost in reflex. ... Wings. Did he always have those? Weren't they different before? Yes, he vaguely remembers them being different. There weren't any feathers, for one. Nor did they hurt so badly. What changed them? He spends a few moments staring over his shoulder, before shrugging it off.
This place is making him feel cornered. He should get out as soon as possible. If only he knew which way to go...]
