[What on earth is this girl doing? There's no surfboard so... Nagisa's just staring at Katara, confused as to how she is able to do such a thing. Hope you don't mind her watching intently. She's kind of amazed. And confused. But amazed.]

[Nope! She doesn't mind. In fact, she probably doesn't even notice, tearing under the curve of a wave and zig-zagging across the flat surface afterwards as she is.]

[Woah, that was cool! So cool in fact that you may hear Nagisa clapping and cheering a bit over by the shore. She's never actually seen anyone surf before, so it was exciting to watch, even if there is no surfboard involved.]

[Huh, what's that sound?

Katara glances towards the beach and notices - then blushes at little at the applause, though she grins.

...huh, she doesn't recognize the girl. Better work her way back to shore, then.]

[Oh hello, she's walking over here! So Nagisa smiles.]

You're welcome! That was really cool! How were you doing that though? If you don't mind me asking.

Oh - I was bending. Like this. [And then, for convenience sake and because she's not a fan of sand sticking everywhere, Katara will remove the water from her person with a sweeping arm movement and dump it back in the ocean.

...she does leave her hair wet, though. Because that feels good.]

[She watches the movements of the water. It was so graceful! And unlike anything she's seen before. The things so many people in Luceti can do will never seize to amaze her.

And now slightly more curious!] Can you only do that with water?

Waterbending... It sounds like fun! [Her world doesn't have anything like that.] I'm Nagisa--Nagisa Furukawa. It's nice to meet you, Katara!

It is pretty fun. [Although that's not primarily what she uses it for.]

Yep! Na-gi-sa. You got it right! [Or at least close enough!]

Nagisa. [She nods.] I don't think I've seen you around before. Did you come in the last cycle?

[Yet another nod!] Mhhm! It's only been a month, but I think I'm already getting used to things around here.

A month in Luceti can seem like a really long time. Have you got people from your world here with you?

At first it seemed like a long time, but after hearing how long other people have been here, I guess it really isn't as long as I thought. [A nervous laugh.] Okazaki's here! And I'm happy that he is. [Though at the same time, she's sure he misses home as much as he does. So conflicting.]

[...yeah, she has no idea who that is either. She's really been falling down on her New Feather greeting, huh.]

Yeah, it's hard to have people you know here, but at the same time... I think it makes it better to be able to face this place when you've got people with you that you know you can rely on.
