[First thing Derek will do when they get to the ship is order up enough water proofed comm links for everyone in the draft and take them to Caesar for distribution. If anyone needs explanation and/or Caesar needs help getting them out to folks, Derek will help with that. Once those are taken care of, and anything else Albert's brother might ask of the hunter, Derek will make his way to his assigned ship (a) and get settled in.]

((OOC: This thread is pretty much just for people to know that we have comm links and state if they want one and /or ask Derek about them or whatever. Derek's actual thread will be elsewhere in the post))

Yeah, they are.

Shaped to go around your ear--this part [points to the ear bud] fits on your ear.

Channel adjustment is here, volume here. That over there, [Indicates the comm box] can be used, or the comms can be adjusted to respond to the ship's radio. Got em waterproofed, military grade, so they don't break easy at all.

Yeah, makes coordinating things a little easier. And they're a lot less bulky than the journals. Seemed like a good thing to offer to Albert when this started up.

I'm sure these things will come in handy. [He nods approvingly.] I really appreciate your help with this.

As for everything else, things are looking okay so far. Those captains are so eager to be commanding ships again that I don't have to do as much as I usually would. [Not that this would stop him from overseeing things on his ship, of course.] Things are quiet now, but it's going to get real noisy when those jerks show up.
