Ship B, both days refinedmaestro August 25 2011, 21:44:04 UTC
[For both days, Frederic is staying in his own little corner reading some books he brought and also being alert when needed for battle. When battle did occur, he'll be helping all the ships with fighting and healing anyone whom needed it.]

[During the night between days 1 and 2, Frederic will find Alexei up on the deck, a small collection of scrolls and books surrounded him as he continually glanced up towards the night sky and back onto the paper he was holding in his hands. There was a lantern sitting on the rail so he could see as well.]

[The composer is hesitant to approach Alexei, especially since their disagreement they had together. Although deciding it was time to make amends, he goes towards the other and speaks first.]

I see you are working hard, Mister Denoia.

[He looks up from his notes and gives Frederic a side glance.]

...I'm trying to map the night sky. A difficult task when nothing is recognizable. [He found something that could possibly be the north star, but it's difficult to say. He glances back at his paper] I haven't heard from you in a while.

I've been quite busy, I apologize. [In other words, he was mostly avoiding people or trying to because he was still kind of upset. Though recently he's been trying to get out more.] How have you been?

There's no need to apologize. [He hasn't exactly been sociable either the past few weeks.]

...It could have been better I suppose, but I'm managing.

It still makes me wonder why the Malnosso drag us to do these drafts in the first place.

That is something we will never discover anytime soon. I don't mind it so much. It is something to pass the time.

You don't mind being drafted? I'd rather be back enjoying the park.

Maybe that's for you, but I feel anxious from just sitting around, waiting. [He folds the paper]

That battlefield is where I feel most comfortable...although I'm not as adapted to the sea.

Oh do believe me when I say I am use to the battlefield myself. Though quite honestly, I think the suffering of innocence is a great tragedy in any war and that is why I detest it.

And should no one fight, there will be suffering regardless. [He puts the paper into his journal and turns to Frederic. He had a worn expression showing signs of someone who hadn't had much sleep recently.]

I don't exactly agree with how decisions are being made when we are drafted, but that is currently out of our hands to change right now.

Even those who fight do indeed suffer, but it is the innocent who wanted no part in the fighting that suffer even worse.

[He sits down and sighs then stares up into the night sky.] The Malnosso draft anyone, even innocent people who have no combat skills.

I think you're missing my point. It may be a harsh way of thinking, but only having to lose a small number of people is a sacrifice worth taking if it'll get us closer to putting an end to this and spare the rest.

[He picks up his lantern and settles down around his books.]

There are plenty who share your throughts, but complaining about it won't change their decision.

Your point is not missed, Mister Denoia. I still don't believe causalities should happen because rulers couldn't speak peacefully between one another which caused a war in the first place. Or a tyrant of a ruler decides to take over a country because they want more power, thus causing the nation being invaded have to fight against the invaders.

[He takes a deep breath, trying to calm himself down.] I apologize, I did not mean to get so worked up.

Any sort of conflict and disagreement in viewpoints will always lead to some form of casualty. Where there is peace, there will conflict.

[...] It sounds like you had a particular situation happen back home.
