So why, why is he suddenly running for his life - staggering and limping, more like, since only one leg is really working for him - in the middle of the forest, his clothes ripped all to hell, with the head of a spear shoved clear through his shoulder, losing blood at a rather uncomfortable rate ( ... )

Dammit... he can't die though, right...?]

And he's breathing harder. Damnit, DAMNIT. It takes everything he has to stop beating them - and a little more to turn his head and look at the bloody lump of a kid on the ground. ]
Oi, you alive?

.....nngh....
[Is that a good answer for you, Shizuo?]

Hold on a sec. Don't go dying. [ ... that's an awful lot of blood. and all over his suit. ] Damnit.

...that's... the plan.
[He squints up at the man briefly - blond, sunglasses, yeah, that's about all he can see - before he clenches his eyes shut again, breathing hard. Right now, all he should be focusing on is staying awake long enough to get this wound closed. Gee, wouldn't it have been useful if he'd been able to understand those alkahestry texts a few days earlier, hmm? Whatever, damage is done.]
...a healer... would be good right now.

[ Shizuo isn't known for being gentle. The tall bartender doesn't bother to shift the weight or make sure the kid is comfortable, he just starts running in the direction of shore. What had that guy said the night at that bar? Oh yeah, super hero. Noble. This is something straight out of an anime he never watched as a kid, something violent and gory that used to get to him a lot more than it did now. ]

...shit, this is hard. And he's actually half-thankful for the jostling, or he'd have passed out again by now.]
Just... get there as fast as you can.

Just leave it to me. [ and he sounds... delighted, in a bizarre sort of way. the line is heroic and cheesy and dumb, but it's pleasing to someone who doesn't get to say it very often.
and there's rustling. rustling is never good. ]

...rustle rustle...
...what was that?]
Hey...

[ And Shizuo turns his head slightly. ] Those bastards just don't know when to- [ and suddenly he's tripping. maybe in a puddle, he thinks, but his body is suddenly too numb to let him catch his balance and he's lost his grip on the kid.
Shizuo himself skids across the ground and into a tree, striking it hard with his back - goddamnit! He sucks in a sharp breath, aware then that what paralyzed him was pain. He can see the remains of one stupid, pinkish white wing scattered across the ground. ]

Blearily, trying to fight back the urge to just go ahead and pass out again, he glances off to the side, where his former rescuer landed. What the hell just happened...?]

the fact that he still manages to uproot a small tree has them frozen.
but the beast of ikebukuro staggers after that and ends up leaning his weight against the tree, breathing hard through his nose. his body usually demands to smash and destroy regardless of what he wants, but apparently busting those wings is enough to stop it.
Of all the times to listen to me. ]

His left arm is useless, but his automail is in perfect shape now, it seems, so with a single clap of automail against flesh, followed by another clap against the ground beneath him, the spark of a transmutation travels over the grass towards where Shizuo is standing. In a flash of light, several hands shoot out of the dirt - one for each of the Third Party soldiers - and sends them flying rather comically through the air and out of sight. And hopefully, for the moment, that'll leave them both out of danger.
At least until he bleeds to death. Although... he does know a way of getting around that. He just needs an extra hand before he can do it. Right now his body is a little unhappy about the idea of cooperating again, and sheer force of will can only get you so far.]
