[Rui didn't particularly want to go for a walk - not with the moon looming over the village the way it is - but sleep hadn't been treating her very well the last few days. It's all the negative energy in the area, she's sure of it; everyone is scared, nervous, wary of the disaster that's apparently coming their way, and she can't really blame them. Unfortunately she can't do much about it, either. All her usual methods of relaxing and staying calm aren't helping her the way they used to.

It's that moon, she knows- until it's gone, or until it kills them, she won;t be getting a good night's rest. So she's out walking, hoping to exhaust herself so she can at least pass out when she reaches her apartment again. With that face looking so ominous in the sky, though, she's not really paying attention to her surroundings as she wanders down the path.]

[She's too new to know better, too naive to assume she's safe. So when she finally looks up from her worried, unsettled stare at the ground in front of her, she freezes at the sight of the man - silhouetted, holding a blade - and can do little more than stare.

Oh god. Oh god oh god.]

Wh... who's there? What do you want...?

[...Oh god. Oh god he's coming after her. Run, run, everything in her very being is telling her to run.

With a strangled scream, Rui backs up a single step before she twists away, taking off at a dead run for the third community building. She has to get home, she has to get away...!]

[She'll keep running, definitely, until she passes out if she has to. It doesn't help that she's already tired and low on energy, but dammit as long as she can move, she's going to be moving.

If nothing else, that creepy voice - and the words he speaks - are fueling her fear. "This body", "This man"... it's like Kisaragi City back then, isn't it? Some sort of possession, some kind of horrible danger...

I don't want to die, I don't want to die...!]

I didn't... I didn't take... anything...!

[Oh god, don't talk, can't breathe, it hurts- what does he want...

She can't stop. She can't give up, she can't, she can't-

Staggering - her foot catching on a root - she drops to the ground with a gasp, and after running as far as she had, she somehow can't force herself back to her feet again. Fingers scraping in the dirt, she looks fearfully over her shoulder, trying to drag her body forward.]

H... help... help me! Somebody help!!

I don't... understand... i-if this is just a misunderstanding, we can talk it out... [She struggles to rise again, and, when her knees continue to fail her, keeps on crawling backwards. She's so close... can't she reach the apartment from here? Maybe he won't follow her inside.] J-just don't touch me! I'll make you regret it!

[Sometimes acting tough helps, right? ...Right?]

I didn't steal life!! I didn't steal anything! HELP!!

[Why can't anyone hear her!? She scrambles away from his hand, trying to escape whatever he's trying to do. Get up, get up!! She blinks rapidly, trembling against the ground, tears escaping the corners of her eyes. Why is he doing this...?]

I told you, don't touch me!

[Her breath catches in her throat when he rests his hand on her, as she feels something... change. Shift. It starts out slow, but within moments there's a strong, steady pain working its way through her body, sapping her strength even more than the running ever could. A poison, an illness, something dark and sickly. She starts to tremble even harder, tears streaming down her cheeks now. Whatever this man is - whatever he's become - it's unnatural, deadly.

And it's got her.]

P... please... stop it...
