Where: The mikan grove!
Summary: The snow coming in is doing a bang-up job on our fruits. Cocoyashi ladies don't much appreciate that-come help them, because they are way over their heads at the moment.

[Kotetsu's out here helping out as well! And when he runs into Pao-lin working away, he's chewing on a peeled mikan, enjoying the literal fruits of his labor.]

Dragon Kid! You came out to help, too, huh?

[lightningcute]

[Pao-lin nods, also nomming away at a mikan. This is probably her fifth or sixth one by this point. (She's a growing girl, she needs her food.)]

Mm-hmm! It sounded like it could be fun! [Plus, food.] I always hear about people going apple-picking or pumpkin-picking back in Sternbild, but I never got to do either of those things...

[wildkotetsu]

Ah, that's true. Sternbild's not a very good place for nature stuff like this, is it?

[lightningcute]

[She shakes her head.]

At least back where I lived in Hong Kong, you could see a lot of mountains and trees and visit nature parks and stuff. But that sort of thing isn't really near Sternbild, is it.

[wildkotetsu]

Nah. That's one of the things I miss about my hometown: it's clean and full of trees and it's a really nice place to just sit and relax. Sternbild's not much for relaxing.

[lightningcute]

[She nods, finishing up the mikan she was eating.]

There's a lot of people, and it's always so busy. [She laughs a little.] But that makes it interesting, too.

Of course! It's the best place for Heroes to run around saving the day, isn't it? You put us all in my town and it'll be a pretty boring day job.

Kinda' weird, being in a place like Luceti, actually. It seems pretty calm. But you got these weird problems...

[lightningcute]

Yeah...we're not arresting criminals here or anything, but people still need help. It's a different kind of Hero work, I think, especially because our NEXT powers aren't too useful here. [Hmm.] Well, yours are good for this kind of work. [oh yah she saw you zippity-blue-blah-ing through the grove.] Mine definitely isn't. [She laughs a little.]

Baaah, we're all useful in different tasks. You'll find something to do with your powers, too, in no time... this place is pretty surprisingly like that...

[Her expression darkens a little as she remembers the first time that she could finally use her powers for something outside of training...and finding that they had been completely useless then.]

Well, NEXT powers or not, I'm just happy to help people! [Resuming her mikan-picking.] Especially if it's for something as fun as this.

He smiles, and pats her head, giving her hair a ruffle]

Good. Remember that as long as you're helping someone in some way, you're doing everything you're supposed to.

I kinda miss chasing criminals, but at the same time...it's nice not to have to worry about sponsors out here, too.

Once the Malnosso start making us sponsor them is the day I'll bury my head in the sand.

Ugh, that'd be terrible! [A little more seriously:] What would be the point of that, though? It's not like there are other, um, companies they have to compete with here... [Unless there are?????? Quel horror.]

Better hope so. Unless they start releasing Malnosso-sponsored chips or something...
