But he hears the cries for help in the woods nearby... and all of that is instantly gone as adrenaline finds its way into his veins. Without a second's hesitation, he rushes headlong into the woods to see a girl being attacked by a pack of wild dogs... too big to be just dogs, but he wasn't sure what they were.
Regardless, a boy in a suit of blue armor runs into the fray, and the armor on his left arm forms into a cannon.]
Leave her alone!
[And with that, Mega Man opens fire into the pack of coyotes, spheres of red energy blasting out of the Mega Buster and hopefully hitting a few targets and drawing their attention away from the wounded girl.]

Unfortunately, even her healing abilities can't heal her broken leg, so Norma's left to just kind of...lay there. At least she'll provide moral support.]
Jeez! W-Watch where you're shooting those things!
[Or not.]

On approach, however, the canine is met with the business end of Mega Man's armored boot. The kick sends the beast sprawling back and gives him time to shoot some more.
...Despite his fatigue and his innocent looks, Mega Man is apparently a very competent fighter.]

It lunges, and Norma screams in fright, barely noticing she spat out a spell instinctively. A wall of fire meet the coyote mid leap, and it whimpers and cries, rolling in the snow to try desperately to put out the flames. The ones, if they remain, that aren't as damaged as the others, are wise enough to run away, leaving their brethren to fend for themselves or perish. This meal wasn't worth the effort, or the fight, it seems.
Seeing the last of the coyotes either dying away or running, Norma lets out a long, tired breath, and finally gives in to her wariness and slumps down onto the snow, breathing heavily.
This day sucked.]

How badly are you hurt?
Reply
M-My leg! I can't move it, it's busted! One of those stupid dogs chowed down hard on it!
[She breathes out, opening one tightly shut eye to try and see just who helped her out. A kid? He looked half like a zombie.]
Reply
...Yeah, that's definitely broken. Looks pretty bad. I don't have any way to treat this here. But I can't just leave you here either!
...What do you want to do? Should I try to get you to the Battle Dome's clinic? Or do you want me to call for help?
[He does look like a zombie, but the adrenaline in his system still hasn't subsided.]

Wh-What? [Give her a minute, to calm down.] If...if you can give me a leg up, I'll lean on you. There's no way I'm staying out here by myself!
Reply
[He crouches down next to her and signals for her to put her arm around his shoulder. When she does, he'll help her slowly get on her good leg, and support most of her weight.]
Reply
It'll take her a second to rasp out an apology - her breathing increased with the movement and pain - but when she does, it's with a small smile.]
Thanks, Blue.
Reply
It's nothing. I'm just glad you're okay. ...Sorta. What's your name, if you don't mind me asking at a time like this?
[Maybe talking will help distract her from pain?]
Reply
Norma. [She leans her head against Mega Man's shoulder, closing her eyes, as if that'd help her headache.] ...Norma Beatty.
Reply
[He doesn't mind shouldering the weight, or even her leaning against his shoulder. Either way, he calls no attention to it and just keeps soldiering on, getting steadily closer and closer to the Battle Dome.]
Reply
Most of Mega Man's voice is drowned out by a loud buzz in her ears, and Norma nods to show she got his name. It was odd. ...Probably the strangest she's heard thus far. It's a shame she's in no condition to poke fun.
Are we there, yet?]
