ALL RIGHT EVENT TIME! This one is another one of those "cracky if you want, choose your own adventure" types, and really...doesn't have much to do with plot. We all need a bit of a break, yes? Okay yes. Let's have some fun.
The concept of this event is very simple. Your character changes into the form of something they despise. You can take the road of angst with this one, or you can go for amusing or even cracky. To explain, I will use Cloud from FF7 as an example because he is a cranky bitch and hates quite a few things.
SCENARIO 1:
Cloud: I hate Sephiroth. HATE HATE HATE SEPHIROTH, and I have very good reasons that are quite angsty and not at all funny.
-Cloud turns into Sephiroth.
Cloud: I hate my life, and this churns many painful memories which I will be off to brood about about now.
SCENARIO 2:
Cloud: I hate Bomb monsters. They are Goddamn annoying.
-Cloud turns into a Bomb.
Cloud: GODDAMMIT /explodes and respawns an hour later somewhere completely different
Now, granted, the first could be twisted around to be hilarious also. THUS WE ARE GIVING YOU GUYS THE OPTION OF CHOOSING TWO FORMS. Okay this is getting convoluted, so
HERE IS A LIST OF RULES/GUIDELINES:
-Your character can have two forms; we don't care if they're both cracky, both serious, w/e. Up to you.
-Your character can switch between these forms and their regular self at YOUR discretion. Not theirs. Clearly. Because that wouldn't be any fun at all, if they could choose.
-If your character assumes a form that cannot usually speak -an animal, an inanimate object- their "thoughts" will be projected from their general person. Like a sound coming out of a speaker. Mono-style. Like the animal event way back in the day.
-Yes, your character can assume the form of someone already in Luceti. Yes, your character can assume the form of someone not in Luceti. Yes, your character can assume the form of a summon. Yes, your character can assume the form of something absolutely gargantuan; if it is too big to fit in the barrier -like if it's the size of New York- then obviously you may want to shrink it down.
-If your character assumes the form of something with a definite personality, you can choose whether or not to have that personality switch over. They can just assume the form, or they can assume both the form and the personality.
-If what your character is hates an imaginary thing/ideal/superstition/something without a physical form, alter their form and personality to fit it. Say, like, your character is terrified of/hates the idea of becoming a coward. Turn them into a coward, like that. Hates a religion or practice? Turn them into a zealot. Like...TotA's Van hates the Score. Turn him into a devout follower. ...or a fonstone, w/e you like |D
We all clear on that? Spiffy! The event will begin TONIGHT - that is, FRIDAY NIGHT/SATURDAY MORNING - at midnight, EST, and will last one week.
Okay now, this is just advice. Don't post with all your characters all at once; spread yourself out. Make a post with one of your characters and comment around. It lessens the commenting load on you, and it doesn't bump other people's entries down. We're getting these huge rushes of posts on the first days of events which is going to be inevitable, with the amount of players we have, but we're also seeing players posting with all four or all five characters at once.
Just pace yourself, and make sure not to post and then sit back and wait for other people to tag you. Make a post for a character, and then have a look at your friends list and see if you'd like to comment around with anyone. It'll also help lessen your dropped threads and inbox spam, and you won't get so overwhelmed with tags that way, either. Might help to keep the event from piddling out in three or four days, too.
