Whew! What a list. I've got another one. PLEASE PAY ATTENTION.

There's going to be an additional list of draftees that will be announced the day before the draft takes place. They will receive an abrupt, impersonal draft notice through the journals from the Malnosso (but not Bil). However, things are a little odd this time. You know how Bil always warns about how some people can't go because of incompatible Shifts? These following individuals will, if they are sent to the battle, be forced to deal with a handicap during the draft.

These handicaps will wear off during their first day on the battlefield, but can include:
1) Flu like symptoms
2) Power/ability loss
3) Temporary blindness
4) Unexpected injuries
5) Narcolepsy
6) Skin turning an unusual color (purple, blue, red, whatever)

So if you're willing to play with that, the extra draftees are:

Alex
Ami/Mercury
Amiti
Archie Kennedy
Cho Hakkai
Dawn Summers
Duo Maxwell
Flandre Scarlet
Hamato Leonardo
Ian Kolansky
Jack Sparrow
Jay
Krizalid
Link
Mae Hughes
Ryoga Hibiki
Saleh
Samurai Jack
Sanji
Shouryuu
Son Goku
Xion

You need to go accept them over at the PREVIOUS POST, using the same form. This is optional! If you don't want to play with the handicap, you can leave them on the recruitment post for the next draft.

Characters will either go willingly to the tunnel transporters or be physically dragged (or escorted) by the Malnosso bots, but either way, it'll be much like last time:

  • Down in the tunnel system, there are red arrows on the walls and floor that will guide characters to the nearest room on their left, after turning westward. (Beyond this room is John's territory, which is still protected by a barrier. It's just been moved back about 20 feet or so.) In that room there is a silver platform; some characters may find it familiar. It's labeled with a black H.47 on the top. There's only room enough for one person. Once a character steps on that disc, the barcode on the back of their neck will grow warm and they'll find themselves suddenly in a white room with a door, and no disc (it's not like Star Trek where things shimmer and stuff, they just are suddenly in a different place).

-If more than one character stands on it, so long as they're both drafted then they will both be transported. If one isn't or both aren't, nothing will happen.

-If your character is being dragged a la droid, the droid will stand with your character on the platform. However, once your character arrives in the white room, they'll be alone.

  • Past the door is a white hallway. Each of the doors has a character's name on it, in alphabetical order by either given name or last name (depending on whether or not a character has a last name). First a door on the right, then the left, switching back and forth until the last character's door. After that the hallway dead-ends. There are no windows, and doors that do not belong to your character are locked.

  • Each room is customized to the character. When they enter, they'll see just a blank hotel room and whatever effects they requested. If they asked for a type of vehicle that won't fit into the room, there is an additional door on the far wall that leads to a storage area or a hangar. On the wall beside the entrance is a buzzer and an instruction plate that reads, "press for assistance." If your character asks questions about who this is, why they're here, etc, they won't get an answer. But if they press and ask for something in their room -"I want an HD TV, I want a hot tub, I want..." etc, when they turn around it will be there. Items in their rooms cannot be removed from their rooms or taken back to Luceti with them when the fighting is done.

  • Rations for time spent on the battlefield will be provided, and can be found with the supplies/weapons. Meals, snacks, drinks, etc. can be requested via the assistance button while they're staying in the rooms.

  • They can visit other rooms so long as the owner invites them in.

  • Characters can use their journals to contact people in the village enclosure.

Concerning the battle:

First off, some copypasta for details you may have have missed or maybe you just forgot. If you remember it well enough or just don't care, skip to the last few points, which refer to the setting itself.

  • First and foremost, MOST -IF NOT ALL- OF THE FIGHTING WILL BE ASSUMED; in other words, without mods playing the NPCs. If you absolutely must -MUST- play out something of great importance, please let me know and I'll provide an NPC, we can set up a log, something. But please, unless you need it for a specific purpose, don't ask for NPC battles. It will be largely uneventful and full of your character kicking ass and taking names and knocking down buildings and enemies, etc etc. This is to give you guys some freedom as well as keep us from a) getting overloaded and/or b) holding you back.

    Third Party Soldiers

  • The enemies look like the ones from the intruder event. Men and women, large white wings. The only difference is that these ones have visible weapons, mostly swords. Some of them have knives, some of them scimitars, but blades for the most part. They're also capable of a specific type of Shifting; think of it as telekinesis with inorganic material. However, it's only short range and they can only do it once every few minutes. Somewhat easy to avoid.

  • THINK OF THESE GUYS AS PRE-BOSS CHARACTERS, for all you game-players out there. You know that pre-boss battle or all those minions that come with the boss? They're like that. Average difficulty. If your character gets horribly wounded, it's more than likely because they're non-combatants or because they got jumped.

  • There are three types of fighters out there. The most basic are the Soldiers, as listed above. Some of these Third Party will count among the Elite and be far more powerful than your average fighters. These guys are like your mid-bosses, guys tough enough to give even some of the superpowered characters trouble. They possess superior Shifting abilities to manipulate the environment around them (the effect being like Filial Magic, but many times more potent) and are much more durable, even wearing light armor over their wings. Ultimately each Elite varies from another, so some may be more powerful than others. They will count among the hundreds and will usually be found leading regular soldiers, although squads of Elites working together may also occur. (In other words, group them however you like).

  • New to this battle are Shifters. These are identical to regular Soldiers, but they possess extremely powerful natural Shifting abilities. Their favored tactic is being surrounded by soldiers, while projecting an Powers Dampening Shift. This will disable ALL superhuman abilities. If a normal human isn't capable of doing it, then neither will your character. This works identical to the tunnel system below the village. They may also use Shifts that can cause technology to cease functioning. This will work on anything electronic or anything more complex than your most basic mechanical devices. For instance, a standard handgun will still work because of the simple mechanics involved, but a weapon more complex than that will stall.

Of course, if your character is not your standard humanoid (for instance someone like Moro or a robot), the power dampening will work a little differently. Moro will still be as powerful as two ton giant wolf would still be, likewise a robot would have all the normal advantages that being a robot has (within reason).

The Shifters are going to be the least common enemy on the battlefield. Encountering them is completely optional, as they exist solely for an extra challenge for people to play around with. They are capable of defending themselves as well as regular soldiers and will never, ever be found alone. They can only be identified by the fact that their eyes will be glowing while projecting Shifts.

  • If your character is mortally wounded, collapses in battle or has been out longer than eighteen hours, they'll immediately be transported to their room. If they need medical attention, a pair of droids will come in and patch them up and leave them to rest. If it's minor enough that they can go back out and fight, as soon as they're up to it they'll be sent back out; likewise, if they get a healer with them and can be healed up, they'll be sent back out once they rest. While out on the field, they will remain there until they either return to the Sector 1 (see below) or travel back to the area where they were teleported in, at which point they can safely return to their room. However, barring injuries, characters will be forced to spend a minimum of eight hours on the field (outside Sector 1) each day.

  • THIS IS WHERE THE NEW STUFF BEGINS. This time around, the battles will be taking place in the Southern Farmlands, a vast area of land in the southern hemisphere. The weather here is warm and in the middle of summer, with many of the crops being nearly ripe for harvesting. The fields will mostly consist of staple crops (corn, wheat, and such), but thanks to some creative Shifts, you might find an orchard of banana trees or even crops from your character's native universe, like the berry trees from Pokemon games.

In addition to just crops, many areas are set up for livestock instead. Your character may get involved in a battle in the middle of a field of cows, or run into a pen of pigs, or get thrown into a chicken coop. Again, mostly your staple Earth animals here, but who knows? Maybe Katara will land in a pig-chicken pen/coop.

Several buildings can be found all over the place. Barns, silos, and that sort of thing. In the area marked as the Distribution Center, much larger buildings can be found. Most of the harvested crops and animals waiting for slaughter are going to be found here in large factory-like buildings. These structures are protected by Shifts to reinforce the building, but they won't necessarily keep enemies out. All the Shifts mean is that the buildings won't collapse on the people inside.

Your characters are free to explore as much as they want, use the area to their advantage. Anything taken from the battlefield will be confiscated before they're returned to the village enclosure because that is not your property, you little thief. Characters may also be able to hijack vehicles. These will be your typical farming stuff (tractors, trucks, and so on), but they may also pick up some shiny Hover Skiffs, these being large flat vehicles that float above the fields and can carry a dozen people at once. Or if your character is less technologically inclined, they might just go 'liberate' some penned up horses from a nearby farm. In additional to the multi-laned "Main Road", small dirty country roads litter the area and connect the entire area. I just didn't feel inclined to draw them all in. 8|

On the map you will notice blobs of red with black. These indicate concentrations of the Third Party on the very first day. This is prone to change and it's up to all of you to decide how that works, so have fun with it. The black splotches are where Elite soldiers can be found. There is no intel on where the Shifters will show up. They're your random "Oh Shit" enemies.

  • Before they're transported to the battlefield on the 26th (9 AM EST), they won't be sent together all at once. At the end of the hall of the rooming area there will be a terminal with a transporter set up. Each morning, the five black dropzones will be available, and characters (or groups of characters) can choose where they'll be sent to fight. If too many people choose to go to a single area, they'll be sent to the next one instead; the Malnosso's tactic this time around is DIVIDE AND CONQUER, after all, so it's recommended that you figure out who's going where beforehand. Characters can make this choice every day, so it's not like they just pick one and are stuck there all week. Also, once the enemies are gone from a single area, that area will no longer be selectable.

  • If a character ignores the transporter and doesn't choose an area, they'll be sent to whatever area needs some support, so they'd better pick while the choice is theirs

Aaaand that's enough tl;dr, yes? QUESTIONS NOW. Feel free to use this post for discussion and planning as well!
