CONCERNING MARTEL.
Concerning this post, more specifically.
She's going to be acting different, and she's not exactly going to know why. At least, not to the degree that you as muns are going to want to know.
I realized that I can only right everything if I changed something drastic. Retconned. Now, saying 'Okay, if she tells your character something different than she did before, bear with me' feels like cheating, kind of.
What's mainly changing:
-- Her body. Spirit? Half-elf? Human? Laffy Taffy? Pff, who knows. That's going to change. She's reverting to her pre-death body: Half-elf. However, her appearance is exactly the same.
-- Her memories of Aselia. I admit, I let fanon confuse the bajeezus out of me, but Raine-mun was wonderful enough to help me work things out. Now, she's going to be giving out correct information.
-- [This is a lesser change, but I felt I should point it out too.] Like Kratos and Yuan, now she's a seraph. Wings, heightened powers, angel senses. It's not going to come into play often. She's not the sort to show off or abuse her powers.
+ If anything else changes, it'll either be tiny or I'll let you know.
Now, I'm OCD enough that I had to explain it ICly. So here goes:
Martel found her Cruxis Crystal.
It was sheer luck that it was her who found it, but she remembered what it was and put it on.
However, they're not meant to be used on Spirits, so it reverts her form to that of the last person who wore it. That being Hero!Martel. She looks no different, except now we know the biology.
The reason her memories were messed up (AKA me being fanon-confused) is to blame on all the souls. So many souls in one body with so many histories, it's hard to set straight which one's Martel's, even for her. She was confused before she lost all those souls, and that carried over 'till now.
That death penalty left a big gaping hole where the souls used to be, so instead of an incomplete spirit, thanks to the Cruxis Crystal, she's a complete half-elf.
Now, that's a lot of change for her to process, and with her memories restored, she's gotta reprocess this whole Luceti thing. She'll remember everything within the next few days.
Believe it or not, this is the simplest way to fix things with her. I just suck at not rambling forever.
