Football player? Awesome. I used to play hockey growing up and since I moved to Dallas from Pittsburgh a few year ago, I've been amazed at how many *guys* are amazed that I played hockey. And know the game better than them. Ditto for football.
I always wanted to play hockey when I was younger, I was obsessed with it from like 4-8 grade. But living in South Texas, that didn't work so well, lol! I used to know a ton about hockey, as in the rules and all, but after so many years I've forgotten. I still love it and wish more came on tv in my area. : /
Former rugby, cricket, and aussie rules player here! Since moving to the States, people are amazed I'm still alive after playing all that...and on co-ed teams too. My hometown in Aussie was way the hell out in the middle of nowhere, so we had to mix teams so there were enough players.
I damn near died when I moved to the states an people were horrified that a girl would want to actually play footy. Uh...k.
I have a lot of Aussie friends, and when I was young, before the interwebz existed and I made said Aussie friends, I always loved Aussie rules because I saw it on tv. It looked so badass!
I tried rugby a few years ago, but at the time was far too out of shape to do much with it, and too busy with work.
Pffft, I think you playing, especially co-ed, makes you allll the more awesome!
Wow you're pretty hard core! Both a football player and a wrestler?! I read your user name and thought you were a librarian... lol. I'm actually in library school right now so I was going to ask about that, but I guess it's something else entirely!
Not a librarian, just love books. I'm an English major. :-D My username actually came from a joke someone said at wrestling. Wrestling is lucha libre in Spanish, so it's a play on words, and I really like those.

I've had three, though one passed recently. If I had a bigger place, I'd have dozens. "Crazy cat man" talk be damned!
