*hugs* It bothers me now, but I'll get over it. I mostly have, it just seemed like a good thing to use for this post, lol.
I thought this was one of few times I actually had some tact in dealing with a situation. Usually I get all butthurt and overreact, but this time I kept that to a minimum in an effort to save the friendship I thought we had.
I personally think that you handled this situation with the utmost tact.
Sometimes friendships that we think are solid aren't. It hurts when that realization hits us. It still hurts me when I think of the friendship that I ended earlier this year. I know in my heart that it was for the best but sometimes I wonder if I handled it incorrectly.
But you have nothing to worry about. You handled this with aplomb!
I think you handled the situation really well and the other two need to get whatever it is they got our of their asses...heh. But I know what it's like to "shed" friends, the same thing happens to me.
Turkey!alex is rather all-purpose. I love him. ;-D
I don't know why it bothers me so much, when I *know* it happens. By now I should be able to deal with it and take it as it comes. Especially since I have awesome friends who *have* stuck around for a long time. <3
Because it was M's and maybe she felt like I only missed it because it was hers? Which isn't true, I had planned to be there to support my friend and as soon as I realized that I was missing it, I felt like crap. If she'd just replied to my text that morning "today's my workshop!" I would've hauled my ass out of bed and gone to school. BUT maybe it's best I missed it and found out they were like this now, rather than down the road.
*hugs* Exactly, you do have to move on and take care of you, because in the end you are the most important. I hope you can get through your situation with as little pain as possible, hon.
Often miss-communication leads to hurt feelings, hopefully things will even out. Did they know it was due to exhaustion? Maybe they thought you just blew it off.
Yeah, they knew why I missed school that day, but it seems that didn't matter. Like I told another friend, maybe it's best it happened now rather than later.

If they can't understand that sometimes life gets in the way and they treat you badly because of it - they don't deserve to be your friend.
Forgiveness is one of the most basic tenets of friendship. If they are going to let one thing stop them from being friends - it is all on them.
