Just back from Wendy House. One young lady was sporting a pair of perspex high heels with white LEDs in them.

Truly, we live in the future.

Psh. It wont be *truly* the future until we have jetpacks and moonbases and domestic robots and nuclear powered cars...

...but LEDs in shoes is a huge leap towards that much anticipated golden age.

We do have autonomous flying kill-bots....admittedly, that's less Golden Agey.

Is it nuclear powered? If not, then, well, it doesn't count. Nice try though.

:o)

I have a Roomba*. Does that count as a domestic robot?

* No, I didn't pay that much!

I have to admit to being jealous of the children in the trainers with the flashing LEDs in that go off when they run or move their feet
(although it could just be a cunning method to attempt to make kids exercise and stave off childhood obesity).
Unfortunately, I don't fit in children's shoe sizes any more so I don't get to wear a pair myself.

ofc this only means we are heading towards dancing disco again, just with long strands of fairy lights, and podiums to put hands on (a la Buck Rogers)

*shudder*

If only I could wear proper high heels. I would immediately purchase a pair of perspex heels with LEDs.
