Even if Marvel calls me back, at this point I don't think I'll be able to take the internship.

Basically, my grad school programs need to know the date I graduate. This would normally be December, except I was holding off in case I got the internship. The Marvel internship requires undergrad credit in order for you to be allowed to do it at all. ( Read more... )

I'm not clear on something. Your grad school program needs to know the date you graduate, or the registrar needs to know the date you graduate? If the registrar needs, that's one thing and obviously your solution makes sense. If it's just the grad school, I wouldn't make a decision so fast. Just put a provisional date you expect to graduate (either the December one or the May one, it doesn't matter) and if it changes, send them a letter amending your application. It's not like knowing when you graduate is going to change their acceptance of you, right? It's just for paperwork.

Is there a specific person you interviewed with? Perhaps you could call them and just politely say something to the effect of "When do you expect to get back to us?"
