Today, most of the midwestern and northeastern regions of the United States had, are having, or are expected to have large amounts of snow dumped on their respective landscapes. I personally consider candy to be one of the major, absolutely necessary food groups. Precisely because it's a great way to get fidgety kids to cooperate!

The Monsters are loving their snow day. I think they're nuts.

How much didja all get?

I was really wanting to play in the snow with Emma considering it was her first real snow, but all three of us have succumbed to the flu in succession. Last year's snow doesn't count to me. I'll say the same thing next year, and again until she's about 4.

Here's hoping Mr. Flu Monster skips over your doorstep, unlike those unfortunate Mormons. I still tell your story to friends when the subject comes up, and I have to tell you that a lot of people now admire you vicariously for your response to them.
