Tomorrow is the California Presidential Primary and I am going to vote for Barack Obama. I consider myself a fairly liberal person and will therefore be automatically be voting for a Democrat. What this post is about though is what, to me, is valuable enough to set Obama before Clinton. I could talk at length about the subtle policy differences

i am voting this year in the handing my mother my mail-in ballot and having her deliver it with hers to a polling station way. it's terribly exciting.

I don't have quite the confidence in Obama that you do, but he certainly has my vote.
Though I must say, I watched Hillary on Letterman and she cracked me up. But I do think Obama will do more for people like Joe and I, and for the country in general.

but in all seriousness, thank you for your point about race and gender being incredibly trivial. i'm starting to get really fucking annoyed with anyone that says "i'd vote for hillary because she's a woman" or "i'd vote for obama because he's black." it's refreshing to know that at least someone is voting for a candidate because of their position on issues and not because of their gender or skin color. i still really wish edwards had had a chance, he's the only candidate with the right position on iraq in my opinion =/.
