i wish i had something less sad-face to post about

my family is/has taken our oldest cat Quasey to the vet to be put to sleep.  he dropped from 10ish pounds to 4ish pounds, had active hyperthyroid and crohn's disease and was 16 years old. he was a good kitty and as sad as it is i'm glad he's gotten relief.

that is very sad. the relief about the relief hardly takes the edge off the sad, but i am glad, too.

how do you know she had crohn's? that's wild.

miss ya.

he was having issues with going to the bathroom and the vet diagnosed him.

it is a bit crazy when your cat has the same to diseases as you do. for a bit we were taking the same meds, but its the luck of the draw on effectiveness and even if they were helping a bit he was too weak to hold out.

i still have your christmas present in my room. if arthur has to work during the evening on the 14th i'll have an extra ticket to see aimee mann, would you care to be my backup plan? and if that doesn't work out other hanging is needed.

i've never heard of an animal being diagnosed with it; that's sort of amazing, if exceedingly tragic.

i'd happily be your fallback, but i'm a pedestrian fallback (are you licensed now?). if arthur gets to go, yes, let's do something, anything, soon.
