Speaking of addictive websites, have you seen tvtropes.com? I get sucked into that site everytime I look at an entry. Hilarious -- and a great resource for writers who want to AVOID the bad cliches/tropes.
I wonder why Father's Day is set on different dates in different countries? Ours is set on May 21, whereas Mother's Day and Women's Day are pretty much harmonized, aren't they?
International Women's Day, May 8. Over here, people really do celebrate it rather that Mother's day and I kind of like the idea. It's less 'discriminating', since not every woman automatically is a mother, but every mother is a woman.
