Anyone here eat Pringles?

The Procter & Gamble Company (NYSE:PG), in response to a recommendation from the Food & Drug Administration (FDA) to the food industry, announced today that it is voluntarily recalling Pringles Restaurant Cravers Cheeseburger potato crisps and Pringles Family Faves Taco Night potato crisps as part of an industry

This recall is so huge. It's really a bit frightening. 0_0

I had seen the list earlier, but didn't find anything I used. Today, I looked at it again (thanks to your reminder! *hugs*), and did find one product that I might have in my pantry: the McCormick Gravy. I don't use that, but my mom does -- and she always buys it when she visits and then leaves it here. I tend to make most stuff from scratch -- which is beginning to look like more and more of a good idea, all things considered. Yikes!

I was concerned about the frozen foods, though. Because my kiddo lives on those Tyson's Chicken Fun Nuggets things. I checked the ingredients on our package, but they don't seem to contain this HVP stuff. So ... that seems good, overall. >.O

It's so hard keeping track of all this stuff, so I appreciate you posting about it!

Glad it helped as a reminder. :) Kids are definitely a high-risk group.

They apparently put that HVP stuff in just about everything, because this recall just keeps getting bigger. D: Argh. I will be so glad when garden season is here again and I can get most of my food fresh from the backyard. lol

Thanks so much for this post! As I read your entry, I remembered 'Oh crap, my parents are eating Pringles in the next room!' so I ran out to check what they were eating. (Thankfully it was neither of the recalled products), I told them when I grabbed the tube, "The FDA is recalling some Pringles products because of samonella, I have to check this." My dad goes, "Great, I'm gonna die!" XD Sorry, we have a morbid sense of humor. Again, thanks for the heads up. :)
