HDRI is badass

Woah.... So some of you guys know how much of a badass Eric Meyer is for CSS right? I've found the equivalent for digital lighting =P He's using a really awesome technique called High Dynamic Range Imaging. Basically, almost all images are 8 bits per pixel, which means the picture can only get so bright. HDRI provides more bits per pixel ( Read more... )

Oh, and in case anybody misses it, the artist made comments on what he used at the bottom of the picture. And yes, it's 100% polygon using CG rendering with rendered lights.
