Every weekend I tell myself I'm going to post something, but then I don't. For eight weeks.

To sum up, life is still going well, I'm visiting the Vanfam next weekend, I hate taxes, particularly state taxes, and the puppy is a lot bigger, and now 6 months old. See?

i hate state taxes too. especially in california.

if i make it up to Vancouver at some point in my travels, do you think your mom and Greg have a couch I could steal for a couple of days?

Oh yes, I'm sure they'd be happy to offer space if they were in town, which they're not always, so advance notice would be best :-)

I've been meaning to ask you, for a friend of mine: what choirs did you belong to when you lived in Boston? She's about our age and looking to join one but doesn't know where to start and I seem to recall you participating. She went to BU and recently graduated. Any insight?

After BU, I was in the Back Bay Chorale. It meets at a church on Dartmouth St near the Arlington T-stop, and has a director who learned conducting at BU, so it might seem familiar. This is assuming she has previous choral experience; BU experience in particular is helpful because the conductor knows Dr Jones (BU) is da bomb.
