Unsolicited advice and rambling ;p.mellowpuffMay 16 2007, 09:16:28 UTC
I think that your depression(tm) is coming back, you were doing very well and it's hard to see when you're slipping because it's just more of the same old, same old. None of this "I was faking it" rubbish, please! Get back on those wee pills, they take a few months to kick in - it may be a good idea to take a break from work, even if just for a week, sleep well and go visit peeps that you like and trust. Who has most of your social contact been with lately? Most normal people would have shot themselves right then and there ;p. You know that your depression is real because the anti-depressants helped it last time. You do have your overdraft to fall back on, and in your current state you may feel like the biggest loser for having to use it, stress about interest and feel as if you are being a crappy gf to adma, but that's what it's there for - just this situation. When you are feeling better you will be able to deal with that quite easily - it's only (insert amount here), when you are working full time or even three days a week your

I rove you sweeties! I wish you had secret man bits so I could have your babies XD You make a lot of sense. I wish I had ninja coping skillz and could do a wee move with my hands and a chant and the poo would fall out of my head, but setting out coping strategies in the real world is much more effective. Thank you :Q)
How do you cope under stress? You work through it until you break. Most people with depression don't even get that far, you've just become so used to it being your default state, you probably think that everybody else just puts up with it too, when in actual fact you are stronger than them because you are doing a better job than "normal" people AND you have a technical disablity to deal with everyday as well. Don't forget that the evil thoughts have probably been affecting your judgement of your job performance for a while now, but you are so used to feeling like that, it's your back-up mode and only some serious CBT will get you out of it in the long-term. I'm not saying don't quit, i'm just saying that you are probably a very valued member of staff and they would be happy to give you a few organised days off if you explain the situation rather than lose you. On the other hand, you've probably gone as far as you can in that job, so quitting isn't unreasonable but perhaps you will be angry at yourself if it happens in this manner,

Thank you :QD I'm lucky to have a lovely friend like you.
Normal people are weird and two dimensional, and their lives revolve around such weird things. I'm glad you are enjoying yourself and having lots of lovely lovely food.
Yeah, lying is crap. I basically wanted to protect my ass in case a prospective employer rang her and did actually want to know how I cope under stress. Normal people are crazy. I wonder what a normal person's coping technique is for stress?
Yeah that's an option im thinking about. I would like a bit more choice in what job I go for though dammit! You know me, always looking for the perfect solution to fall into my lap. I'm with three temping agencies now, so if I stop being able to cope with the two days I've cut down to at furkids I will take your advice and tell the temping people I'm available full time now. Thank you :Q)
