:( :( :( Well yes I am thinking, I may even be able to run a marathon by the time I get back home, but ugh. It is mostly the cost that irks me, since I can always bike to school. :(

Nope, I'm not allowed to. It's some immigration policy or something. My parents are paying for it, so I feel really bad.

At least you're getting information! I'm not hearing anything from Japan D: I can't choose my accomodation, have no letter to do my visa with, and I leave in 5 weeks! *panics*

When does your semester in Holland start? :O

Yuck, that's horrible, I hope they get back to you soon. That said they didn't get back to me till maybe 3-4 weeks before my departure.

I leave in two weeks! It starts on the 1st of September...

That is a HUGE raise, it looks so unreasonable to me. ): But Holland sounds like a nice place to study!

Yes it does sound like a great place to study, and I'm really looking forward to it, but... yes... the price raise is pretty unreasonable. :(

Did they give you a reason for all these changes at least? I am really sorry, it does sound like a completely bizarre and unfair downgrade (450 euros dfjsf are they insane), but I hope it'll be fixed, or at least have many bright sides to make up for it. ♥

Yes it does! 450 euros! That's nearly a thousand dollars per month, for a room. They did put the other exchange students from my country in the same apartment, so I suspect that's why.

I was pretty annoyed by it partly because I didn't want to stick with them all the time and meet new people (and have new flatmates etc) but I guess it'll work out in the end.

Plus, I'll be pretty fit from walking! ♥

A thousand dollars is insane for a room if it's not like, five star hotel :/ Maybe this is just temporary and they'll reassign you to the room you were initially going to get in the future? I really hope they do.

And I'm sure it'll be! At least you'll be around "familiar" people, and you'll definitely get to meet a lot new people around campus and in lectures, so that'll probably compensate.

And tanned if you do it during the summer! Sounds awesome ;)

I hope so too :/

I'm really looking forward to meeting new people, so I guess it won't be that bad. Plus I get home-cooked food! Aha.

Nah, I'll be back by the time next summer rolls around. It's summer all year round here anyway, which is good because I can tan anytime of the year that I like but shitty because it is just so fucking HOT most of the time.

Fingers crossed for getting reassigned to a better room. :(

Thank you. I doubt it though, seeing as how I'm leaving in about 10 days' time. :(
