UGH.

I am honestly annoyed.

Today I went to city hall to get my registration done (to prove I'm not an alien, etc etc) and was horrified to find out my birth certificate has been rejected because it "hasn't been legalised properly". In short, I now have to send it back to Singapore, get it stamped by the Dutch embassy there, and have it sent back again. ( Read more... )

Oh, why don't you just get like chicken rice seasoning, or buy curry paste? That's relatively idiot-proof!

I decided to use some rendang mix! Hope they all don't die of spiciness or something. My French friend thinks chilli sauce is hot. Like the Maggi kind.

LOL but aren't they likely to? What with it, you know, being not all that mild? Hahaha chilli sauce! Silly white people!

I don't know. I don't really care... If they don't eat there's more leftover for me!! XD

I mean, Europeans eat pretty spicy stuff sometimes too. It's just a different kind?

How in god's name did you find a plane ticket to Italy so cheaply?!

kamnsjkk cook something Singaporean, bawling. What herbs do you need? You might be able to find them relatively cheaply if you don't want them fresh etc (i.e. in a jar).

*hugs* Sorry your day has sucked so much :(

Ryanair! God, I love that airline. It's apparently €5 if you buy a one-way ticket? Well I ended up paying €10 in the end, because I paid by Visa, but, I mean... yeah. It was pretty cheap.

As for herbs, it depends. But I need stuff like curry powder, sambal (a blend of chillies and other things, which varies from region to region in South East Asia), coconut milk and ... star anise? I haven't seen that anywhere yet. I decided to use some pre-made mix my mum sent over awhile back; hope it won't bomb tomorrow!

Maybe you can write me fic to make it better :D

Oooh. I'll keep them in mind the next time I'm travelling round Europe!

Ahh. Well you should be able to find curry powder pretty easlier and cocunut milk is something most stores will have. The sambal might be an issue and I don't think I've ever seen Star Anise around...of course none of this is particularly helpful as I don't actually live in Holland! Laughing. Sorry.

akjhjsk,mjksl.l. I love the way this always comes back to fic.

:D :D Yes you should. They fly out of England pretty regularly, too! Also, you should always book before Sunday midnight because they always have some promotion or another.

akgdfg you are so cute. Holland has no decent curry at all. Am looking forward to going to London and gorging myself on Indian and Chinese food XDDDD

... what. Of course it does. XD

aksgnlakn Maybe something like spring rolls...? x.x [has no idea what's Singaporean]

But yeah, I understand about the wok thing. It's so impossible to cook anything without one. XD

I'm in class. D: And then I have an eye examination, and then I have to do research for my paper... x.x I'd say it won't take long, except I have to watch videos and take notes alksnglkan. T.T

A wok is pretty much all you need in the kitchen.

...Okay, fine, a pot and a ladle and a ricecooker. But other than that! Woks!

XD XD XD I think I might end up waiting until the end of the semester to just sort everything together... [too lazy]

Rice cooker adkgajkdfg. #1 indispensable cooking tool. Too bad I don't have it either; I cook my rice in a pot!

You have wireless in class? I used to do that a lot in Singapore when I still brought my laptop to school. Now that I have to bike to campus, bringing my laptop is no longer a viable option... :/

*__* THANK YOU.

khjkh somehow I'm sure toga parties aren't really as fun as they sound. Not when people are drunk and tearing bedsheets off themselves.... :/
