What on earth is Series A preferred stock? I am having to look at a term sheet and discuss its legal implications. WTF? I feel like I have been on vacation for too long.
a type of stock that pays a fixed dividend (usually set at percentage yield over offer price) at certain specified periods of time and usually has no voting rights, as opposed to common stock which is a 'true' ownership stake in the company (no fixed dividend, but with voting rights).
