Ryan gasps for air as Horatio turns smouldering eyes on him.

Ryan laughs breathlessly as Horatio drops the groceries to pounce on him, apples rolling across the floor.

This is the beginning of something, Ryan knows this, but what he doesn’t know is if it will be great of terrible- but he sure as hell intends to find out.

It bugs Ryan when Horatio doesn’t make the bed; it is for this reason alone that Horatio now sets his alarm 15 minutes earlier.
#05 - Coffee
Ryan runs purely on coffee in the morning, wether he has to work or not, and when he wakes to see a cup of steaming coffee and a note from Horatio on his dresser, he can’t help the happy smile from spreading across his face.

It’s dark before they get the bastard, but Horatio still finds the time to tell Ryan what a great job he did.

When Horatio enters Ryan’s room in the hospital, he is on the verge of despair, but a tired smile from his lover is enough to pull him back safely from the edge.

Ryan closes the door firmly behind him, and isn’t the least bit surprised to find himself pinned against it, Horatio possessing his mouth hungrily.

Ryan’s OCD stops him from drinking, and Horatio never wants to lose his inhibitions, so the two of them relax in other ways.

Ryan knows that Horatio’s duty if first and foremost to the citizens of Miami, and that’s okay, because Ryan’s is too, but it warms him that he comes second.

Horatio is down to earth, but when he’s with Ryan he is prone to the fanciful.

Horatio clutches Ryan’s pale hand and prays that this isn’t the end.

Horatio waited warily for things with Ryan and Eric to come to a head, knowing whose side he would be on, and he could only hope that Eric could forgive him.

Watching Horatio interact with Marisol, looking at Eric’s smug grin, Ryan felt hollow.

Horatio is honourable, no doubt about it, but watching him with Marisol, Ryan can’t help but think it might not be as great as he had thought.

Watching Ryan flirting with Boa Vista, Horatio felt the last vestiges of hope within him fall to dust and blow away.

They both wanted to keep their relationship a secret, but neither are surprised when they are both congratulated for being together for a year by the entire office.

Horatio is one of the few people who know that Ryan has a tattoo of two winding snakes on his lower back, and that’s the way they like it.

Living in Miami, the two are grateful to see snow when they go on vacation together; however, they are even more grateful to warm up in bed together.

It’s strange, because normally Ryan would never do something as rash as sleeping with his boss, but 10 years later, he still doesn’t regret it.
