Dean's B-Day Surprise

It was his brother's birthday, and he'd already promised that it would be whatever he wanted, and Sam was going to follow through. He'd been able to find a semi-casual restaurant that served the best steak this side of the boarder, and he'd dug up their best clothes, that weren't related to cases, from the bottom of their duffles and cleaned them ( Read more... )

'Yeah, yeah, deal.' It made Sam a bit more excited about what his birthday held for him, but he knew whatever Dean did it would still be special to him. He loved how they moved so easily together, built over years of constantly living in each other's pockets, and Sam knew he would never be able to find someone else like that, but he didn't really want to. Not when he had Dean in front of him, trusting him not to lead him astray.

'You're going to regret those words, when I get you to do the laundry next time.' 'I'm glad you like it.' He returned to looking at his brother from across the table, hand moving to twine with Dean's under the table and running his thumb over his knuckles. 'Wanted it to be perfect for you..'
