According to Gwyneth Paltrow, Tony and Pepper haven't had sex yet.  The implication, when this was mentioned on TV Tropes, is that it's a sign of just how much Tony loves her.

Umm yeah Tony's fucking Bruce, at least that's what I like to think.

Exactly. Tony was holding back because he wasn't quite sure of things, and when he met Bruce it was like "Oh, this is what I wanted all along." At which point Pepper exited gracefully because she's classy that way.

In case it wasn't obvious, I am NOT a fan of Bruce/Tony/Pepper, but this fic is really hot.
