Yesterday I went to St. Catherines to check out some more places. Found one that looked good and the owner accepted cheques for first and last month's rent, so looks like I'll be getting it. I'll find out for sure in a couple days. Anna (aka thedeflowerer) came for the ride. Afterwards we got a bite to eat and then went to Niagra Falls. Such a strange city. It' ( Read more... )

I've always wanted to go on the Maid of the Mist, but haven't gotten around to it yet. I'm glad to hear it's worth the money.

The photos are grand. Love eating the mist and with you on the wanting to jump in. God help me - and I mean that!

i see the horseshoe falls, and wonder if there's anywhere right near the falls where the water is shallow enough and slow enough to just stand there. i mean the falls are so wide that it might be like standing in some rapids in a river (except for the giant drop just downstream).

i bet that such a position exists, and if someone is able to find a way out there (and willing to risk near-certain death in the event of lost footing), it's make for a really good "if you were smarter than you are, would wouldn't think that i'm as crazy as you do" sort of moment.

hahaha! Actually, I was thinking, "wow, that water looks pretty shallow from here" while I was standing by the horseshoe. There is a massive amount of water flowing through there, but it's very possible that you're right about there being a place where you could stand. It would be pretty wicked to be able to just stand there in the water and have everyone looking at you like you're a madman! I would probably dress in such a way that some people will think that I might be the antichrist. >:P

while trying to think of what clothing would be good for that, i got the idea that it'd be really cool to perform a mass out there. if the current's not about to push you off, then it shouldn't be hard to find a heavy enough altar with thin enough legs that it won't get pushed off either.

now i'm wondering if canada's protections of freedom of religion are strong enough to make such a feat permissible.
