I just got back from spending the weekend in Cumberland. While I was there I went to see a play at the Southeast Community College called Higher Ground that my friends Tara and Elana were in. It was pretty neat. Apparently they got some play-write and director from New York to come and collect stories from the community and it was all made into

Swappin' Meetin's this weekend, actually. You should've waited a week for your visit :p

But the times, they are a changing. It's not SECC anymore, now it's SKCTCS: Southeast Kentucky Community and Technical College System. They had to change it over after dear Gov. Patton disassociated community colleges from universities and lumped them in with tech schools. Pissed a lot of people off with that move.

Whatev's, it's not like I enrolled there for full terms. The point is, Dr. James Golden's little gourd figurines are still there.
