Finally Got Anniversary no Kuni no Alice

Jan 22, 2011 15:29

And I can't get it to run. It's a legit copy (I hope) from Yomato-Touch, and I'm running Windows 7. I managed to get it installed on the computer, but every time I click the Quinrose icon it wants an ID number. So I type in the only ID number that came with my packaging...it doesn't work. A window comes up and won't let me go any further. I'll post ( Read more... )

argh, anniversary no kuni no alice, malfunctions

Yeah, you need the internet for the initial log on and then you're all good. If you don't have an internet connection at home you can probably just pop into the library for a bit to get it unlocked.

(I haven't seen it cracked yet elsewise I'd just say to crack it and screw it... >.> Stupid overkill Quinrose's security. It's just an otome game, geeze, Adobe CS3 cost five times as much but they don't have nearly as much security as Quinrose as been slapping up....)

Thanks for the help. I'll see what I can do about getting internet.

I know they have a problem with people stealing their stuff but...JEEZ. This just irritates people who get legit copies.

I'm seconding spicy_diamond's response. You just need the internet for the initial log on so that Quinrose can receive your ID number. After that you shouldn't need to be online at all. So if you have any place around you that shares wireless internet with the public, go there.

Good luck! I hope you get it running soon.

I actually did connect internet to this laptop, but I'm still having the same issue (the window I keep getting every time I type in the ID is in the edited post above). I'm becoming a little frustrated with this, to be honest.

It says there was a slip up when you input the ID, and then it asks you to put it in again. Are you using the ID number that is on the last page of the Shury2lite booklet? That's the number you want. There should be a string of boxes that pop up after you input the number. I just clicked the button on the left for all of them. That's how I got mine running.

Yes, that's the code I'm using. I'm positive I haven't slipped up, because I've entered and reentered it several times with the same results. *sigh* I think there just may be an issue with the product key booklet itself, in which case...there's not much I can do. DDDX

Ah, Quinrose and their new copy protection system. I really hate it. It restricts to having you install it in only one computer, and one that has internet connection at that. And if it goes BOM it's really hard to overseas customers to get another code. It feels more like renting a game to me, and I payed 100 euros for anniversary, so it does not feel fair at all. I used a crack with Joker, but I can't find one for anni, so I had to use my code. I've thinking of copying my installation to another computer to see if it still works, and if it did, save it to a DVD. But I don't have access to another computer to try that.

Either way, this system is so detrimental that I feel reluctant to even buy Peter because I'm not sure I'll like it. I bought all their games before, but with this new system I only buy Alice ones.

Agreed. I'm definitely am going to try to rip the game so I can play it more than once (NOT so a bajillion people can torrent it). I feel like this copyright is unfair and ridiculous. I can't help but think that if a Western company did this (making it so you can only install the game pretty much once and afterwards have a useless disc reliant on the company and hope they never disband or go under) there would be some sort of outcry. Maybe since Quinrose is small they can get away with it? I don't know.

BTW, do you have any idea how the non-stay routes work in this game? I'm having difficulty getting past Boris's fifth or sixth nonstay route and I think I have all the requirements according to the guide I'm using. His next event just want occur. Hmm...

If Quinrose were a western company there'd definitely be a public outcry. EA actually tried to pull something similar back in 2009 with some games (including Sims 3), limiting the number of reinstalls you could do. But people complained so much about that they dropped it. Quinrose is not a big company, however in the otome industry they are one of the biggest ones, so they should be required to have a little more consideration towards fans. If ripping the installation onto another computers works, please tell me so I'll copy my installation in case I'm force to format ( ... )

I'll definitely let you know whether or not it works. I understand that many people have not had much consideration towards their products, but this CD key thing makes buying the game legit a little bitter. Ah, well. At least I have it.

Thanks for the help. The tips really helped. I didn't realize you actually needed to visit other people to get the nonstay route.

What if you uninstall the game? Can you use the same id code when you installing it again? I do not have Joker, so I don't understand their protection. I also wants to buy Anniversary but since I can't read japanese language, and I also like to install-uninstall the game whenever I feel bored. I want to know about it as much as possible so I won't spend money for waste, thank you ^_^

If you uninstall the game, I believe the product code will not work again unless you ship the game back to Quinrose all the way in Japan to have it reactivated. So bored uninstalling/installing is pretty much out of the question if you don't want to lose the money you invested in it.

Also, since you don't understand Japanese, you are aware of AGTH/Atlas right? It will give you rough translations of the game.

Not sure you're right about that. If I remember right, the ID stays stored on your computer even after the game is uninstalled. That way you can re-install it without getting a new ID. The only thing you can't do is install Anniversary to another computer or reformat your computer.

I got it! sukunahikona45 January 23 2011, 15:23:33 UTC
I understand now. Thank you! Yes, I know how to use AGTH/Atlas. What I worry is just when installing the game, 'cause if I do some mistakes, no one around me will be able to help me ^_^

Now, my only problem is just saving money, thank you for your explanation!
