my dad's office used to have daddy longlegs...i was kinda fond of them and let them stay.

Realistically, probably not the same spider so much as several of the same kind. Affectionately pretending its the same one keeps my roommates calm since they're REALLY scared of spiders. :)
Daddy longlegs are neat! Sadly, this guy is poisonous. I also weirdly had a dream about being eaten by a giant spider yesterday, so I'm less likely to want to sleep in the same room as him than I usually would be.

He's kind of like the Hawaiian Gecko which is good luck! Don't kick him out. He can't help it that he's ugly. ;)

Oh, I loved the Hawaiian geckos. I used to watch them run across the ceiling of my aunt's house when I was young and would go visit her there. Unfortunately, this spider is poisonous, so even though he's great to look at, I don't want him snacking on me. :(
