Ack, where did the complete story, posted at snape_potter, go? I went to comment, after leaving the page open for a while and it had vanished.
Anyway, I though it was lovely and this was my comment: Oh, this is gorgeous. I want to savour every word, and let the taste of each phrase roll around my mouth. I love it.

This is such a remarkable piece. And told in such a gripping, lyrical fashion it almost reads like poetry. I had to double check the word count because I couldn't imagine you could pack so much story into so few words. I love the atmosphere you created. How unhurried it all seems, how even the smallest detail is used to maximum effect. I'm really impressed with the way the story unfolded. I love the pacing and the style here and can't wait for the second part.

I see you plan to post the second part tomorrow. It looks like you are well-versed in posting. But if there is anything I can do to help you, I'd be happy to do it. Please just let me know. We'd love to see you post at snape_potter either as part of the challenge or otherwise.

Wow, considering you're one of the towers of Snarry and have probably read thousands of snarry fics, I'm really humbled you took the time to review.

I really liked the poetic narrative here. This is a story that packs a heavy punch. It's so full of emotion that I couldn't avoid feeling deeply touched by these two poor men who've lost their way. It was truly beautiful.
