have you gotten to the monster arena yet? that's what makes it the best FF ever (except I haven't played X-2 or 12 yet). strategic boss battles mmm... but you have to keep farming them over and over to make the required items to survive the next one.
I have a file with auron's health around 30k, and most people have all their stats maxed, or close to 255... they all have auto-pheonix, auto-haste, auto-reflect, counter, etc. all custom made armor and their ultimate weapons. most fights are just a joke.
I got it to the point where I was farming Nemesis for whatever the spheres are that you can steal from him. I think he has 5 million life and most of his spells are enough to kill anybody in one hit :P including one that always does 99,999 to the entire party...the only way to survive it is to sacrifice an aeon :(
