Where did all the innocence go?

I just got home from babysitting...got greeted by a very drunk mother 2 and a half hours after she said she'd be home. Don't worry, I don't have anything to do! Or anyone to talk to! I don't need to be home, take your time. (insert sarcasm)

maybe our eyes don't become opened by life, maybe they just get bruised shut. i wish i could have seen that though.

You have an amazing mind, Krista. That was an awesome story. Don't we all miss those days?I wish I was still a little kid. I think that innocence is still inside of you. Just by the way you noticed this. It sucks growing up. But in the end, I'm sure at least, I'll look back and know it was worth every minute of it.

thank you baby girl! i hope i still have some of the innocence left in me. i know im not judgemental but it's almost as if little kids don't even see that someone is a different race. or they don't see that someone has a disability. i hope i can remember this story and think about being a kid every time i feel like judging someone. <3

Yeah, and kids are the most brutally honest too... It's interesting how honesty and unjudging eyes can beget such happiness...
