I wish I were a Bridezilla (Rant)

I really need to learn more stress management techniques.

I can feel myself getting more and more anxious about things with 3 and half months till the wedding. But there are so many things that aren't going as planned and they can't be fixed. Instead, it's all about doing what I can with what I have. And I don't even have a dress, yet.

And it's ( Read more... )

Wow, and I thought that it was only my family that did that. Btfh and I are covering all of our expenses and when I was talking to my mother she immediately went into a hundred different things we could do without such as but not limited to: food, a dress, music, and decorations. What amazed me was that she wasn't asked to spend a penny!

She has since chilled out when I went off on her about it.

I have not had a blow-up with my future in-laws. I don't intend to if I can help it. Besides, it was far more frustrating when we were in the middle of the house thing.

I can only imagine what it'll be like after we have kids. *sigh*

*hugs for the stressedout lady*

I understand the pain. I am paying for the wedding 100% myself and every time a huge cost pops up I groan, my fiancee sulks, I apologize for ruining her most important day, and then pay. *smile*

If you man doesn't step up I am going public with those pictures from that night on the left bank. ;)

*giggle about left bank comment*

I'm trying hard not to sulk too much. It would have been one thing if we'd never made the plans, but I have had over a year of planning and setting up certain ideas to meet the budget we decided on. Now, being asked to cut everything by half is just heart breaking. I feel like I have to make a concession on almost everything I wanted.

It sucks mightily.

This is what I had to tell myself: while you don't want to intentionally make anyone uncomfortable... it is YOUR wedding. Remember that it is a day about you and Clay. I know you will have a beautiful dress and a magnificent day. Getting there is a whirlwind. Good luck, dollface!

Thanks, sweetie.
But what if I need someone to sing great rock songs in a karaoke style to cheer me up? When do you think you might be visiting back this way?

: )

Of course, I could look for a guy dressed as the Tick to knock over a table full of drinks.
