[CHARACTER INFO]
CHARACTER NAME: Domino
FANDOM: Marvel 616
CHRONOLOGY: X-force Vol 3 #27
CLASS: Anti-hero
SUPERHERO NAME: Domino
ALTER EGO: n/a

BACKGROUND:
Domino was created to be a powerful weapon by a government program. A woman named Beatrice agreed to reproduce for the project, and Domino was one of two babies who actually survived the proccess. The project was used to create powerful mutants, so when Domino was born with her luck abilities, her mom deemed her a failure. Instead of killing her, Beatrice brought her to a church, where Domino lived until puberty. Domino remained in a catatonic state until her mutant powers emerged, and then she ran away. She became involved in mercenary work around the age of fifteen, and has been in the game ever since. Between then and started her work with the NSA, she also fought in the combat pits in Madripoor for a short time.

A few years later WHEN SHE WAS OF LEGAL AGE, Domino started working for the National Security Agency. She was hired to protect Milo Thurman, a genius who could predict the future by analyzing past historical trends. Eventually, they did fall for each other, and they even ended up getting married. Somehow. They weren't happy for long, though, as agents of Advanced Idea Mechanics (AIM) busted in on this little party, thinking Milo was a machine. They were looking to steal him, and weren't too happy to find out they'd been misinformed of what he was exactly. Domino being the most excellent bodyguard she was, fought them, saved Milo, and everything ended in a nice explosion. Milo went on thinking she was dead, and she simply moved on instead of trying to go back.

Domino then went into the freelance mercenary business, and started up with a group named Six Pack. This is where she met Cable, along with G.W. Bridge, Hammer, Grizzly, and Garrison Kane. The team went on for awhile, until Cable made a giant fuck up which crippled Hammer and then everyone hated him.

After the fall of the Six Pack, Cable went off to start X-force, and recruited "Domino" to help him train the team. However, at this time, Domino had actually been replaced by the shape shifter Copycat. The real Domino had been kidnapped by an arms dealer named Tolliver (he turns out to actually be Cable's son), who was planning a bit of revenge on Cable. In Domino's place, Copycat earned the team's trust, and even made her way into Cable's heartbathtub~ Domino was held captive for about a year until the truth was discovered, and Cable was the one that freed her. After blowing Deadpool's head off to make herself feel better, she sadly didn't get to blow off Tolliver's :(. Instead she listened to a request of Cable's, which was to track down X-force while Cable blew up with a helicopter.

In order to try and find them, Domino enlisted Grizzly and Hammer to help her out, along with Copycat (much to her own annoyance). Through a lot of searching, Domino found Cable again. There was a mini Six Pack forever reunion, but it wasn't the happiest. Cable went off to find X-force, and Domino stayed behind with her Six Pack friends. A little while later, Domino joined X-force for real when Cable contacted her again.

Domino felt a little out of place being on the team, as they'd gotten to known a woman that wasn't actually her, and it made things difficult for a short while. At least, in her point of view. While on X-force, she and Cable began getting closer, and though it took her until the world turned into rainbow glass, she eventually admitted her feelings for him (in her own special way.) After their magical first kiss, Domino came across news of some recent killings in the rockies, and went to investigate. She quickly found her old friend Grizzly, and discovered that he was the one who had been on the murdering spree. However, it was not of his own will, but something Tolliver manipulated him into doing. Grizzly begged Domino to kill him because he couldn't live with the guilt, and when she declined the offer, he just made her do it anyways.

A few more adventures with X-force and Cable later, Domino decided to go for some down time and visit Brazil. This is where her old friend Puck showed up and informed her that her ex-husband had been kidnapped by Donald Pierce. Not at all needing convincing, Domino left to investigate, running into Lady Deathstrike and Skullbuster in the process of it. Unfortunately, Milo ended up dead when it's all over.

After losing Milo, Domino got caught up in Operation Zero Tolerance, which messed her up for quite awhile. During a mission, she ended up in the care of the prime sentinels. One of the altered humans revealed herself to be someone Domino dealt with in the past, who was bent on getting revenge. The woman emplanted a device into the base of Domino's skull, which disrupted her nervous system and effectively turned off her powers. The device locked her away from the luck she had relied on for years. After the "operation", Domino was dumped off at the side of the road with a newly shaved head. Feeling like she couldn't even function, Domino did the only thing she thought logical: she not only quit X-force, but ended her relationship with Cable.

Domino tried to get the device removed, but she discovered she actually couldn't, so she went on with her life and tried to push herself back into fighting. She knew she could live without her powers, and actually went out of her way to prove that to herself. After a few self tests, Domino managed to get the device in her head turned off by Jesse Aaronson (a mutant who could disrupt electronics), and it helped in her return to the now Cable-less team. After a few months of being back on the team, she actually lost leadership of X-force to Pete Wisdom, and left again.

Afterwards, Domino fell back into the freelance mercenary business again, and following another run-in with Cable, she actually wound up getting herself killed. An assassin named Marcus Tsung took her out, and unfortunately all of her skill wasn't a match for his power to kill anything in his line of sight. Domino was thankfully resurrected by some sort of bio-organic thing (It also wiped several years of age from her body). She then showed up at Pete Wisdom's "funeral" to acquire some help from X-force. She stayed with the team until it finally disbanded.

Afterwards, she joined X-corporation, lost another friend, worked with the X-men, and went on her merry way yet again. At this point, she embarked on another solo adventure in order to find her mother, and discovered she had a little brother (The other baby that survived. He wasn't put into use until much later, so he was about four years old when she found him). Throughout all of this, Domino retrieved the pieces of her past, found out why she was created, and just how batshit insane her mom is. She did save her little brother from their mother, and after the end fight, she brought him to the church she grew up in. Unfortunately her mother did end up finding him, and it was hinted that she killed him.

The next time Domino showed up was when she was back with the Six Pack again (minus Cable). She cameoed a few times in Cable and Deadpool, mostly keeping an eye on Cable's activites. Since Domino knows him pretty well, she didn't believe in his new little messiah act at first. It took a mission with the Six Pack that she found morally compromising to finally push her back to Cable's side. She stood by him again, and remained on his island Providence until it sank, and he "died".

Without Cable, it was back to shooting things, and soon enough she had a run in with Cyclops' new black ops team, "X-force". She was a little bored, so she decided to join up in the killing, and remained with the squad. She also took up residence with the X-men on Utopia, and has remained with them up to this point.

PERSONALITY:
Domino likes to surround herself with guns, explosions and violence. Along with her violent nature comes sarcasm and a deranged sense of humour. She has a fondness for her guns, and possibly holds them closer to her heart than any actual person. She finds it safer to hold people at arms length, than to actually open herself up to them [She couldn't even tell Milo that she loved him as he died]. She is almost incapable of expressing emotion for others, and when she actually does, it usually takes something quite huge to even remotely step near an admission. In a dream sequence where X-force was given their desires to live out, Domino's was for her to just be alone in the dark with her guns. She either has no real desires, or simply can't imagine her life to be anything other than what it is.

Domino is a very private person, who is very good at keeping secrets. There are very few people who she will trust to talk about her past with, or even her feelings. It might even make her come off as cold, but Domino actually likes it that way. She has a fierce loyalty to people she trusts, and does just about everything for them. However, she makes it an effort to hide just how big her heart is when it comes to people she cares about. When it comes to fighting, Domino considers it a hobby. She loves what she does, and does take pride in it. She's basically been fighting her whole life, and it shows. She doesn't really know how to do anything else, but that's okay. Being a mercenary is fun, apparently. She likes to push herself, and even engages herself in field tests when things are incredibly dangerous. She's a risk taker, and likes to live on the edge to see just how far she can push herself until her luck really runs out.

Domino has three rules of survival "When you think your side is losing--kick over the game board--and start again with new rules.", "When in doubt, cheat.", and "Never get emotionally involved with ANYONE. EVER." She obviously breaks the third rule a lot, and acknowledges that she does so. The first rule, however, goes to show that when shit gets too bad for her, she just takes off to start over. It's how she tends to solve her problems when they're bad enough, and it's a habit she'll probably never let go of.

She can be very irritable around certain people, but can be very patient with others at the same time. There is a fierce temper there, but she only shows it when things have pushed her buttons to the extreme (Like with Copycat, when people she loves get killed, etc...). She is laid back, understanding and flexible, just not to the extreme. Though it is more probable that she will be patient when dealing with younger people, she does hate teenage drama at the same time. Domino will follow orders given to her, but that doesn't mean she won't do things her own way. Though a mercenary, she does have her own code of ethics and her own morals, so there are some things she just won't do no matter what the price is.

POWER:
Domino has a luck ability. It's slight probability altering, but nothing at all large scale. She has the power to push things into place and make luck "happen". Though this power is usually subconscious, she can force it out knowingly. It makes her an exceptional fighter, and raises her reflexes and agility to peak levels.
