if someone works for the public (like radio), I would expect them to have some consideration for their public. Regardless if it is pathetic. What is pathetic is people who have to make jokes about such things to get some attention.
Now if some random ass would say that in public then I would just regard them as an asshole. And maybe punch them in the eye. :)

Thats what is wrong is people over reacting to ever little thing that is said. I someone says something offensive you can walk away from the sitation or tell them it was impolite but out right violence is worse then the word can ever get.

I've just never understood that kind of sensitivity from people. The guy made a bad choice, but the uproar is just unproportional. I think his statement was about as bad as if he had said the 'F' word on the air, no worse. 'Nappy headed ho's'? Big deal. It's just not that offensive. Certainly those girls aren't "scarred for life" like they claim to be. I don't think anyone's show needs to be pulled, anyway. No one I know would be very upset if someone called them a 'nappy headed ho', let it ruin their day, or even think much about it. I've heard worse on the playground when I was ten. Just when people over react so much, then public people have to start watching every single word they say, so as to treat everyone with kid gloves. It's the milquetoast era of media. From John Kerry's comment about enlisted men to this, you just can't say anything without having huge groups of people get offended and boycotting. PLEASE. I just wish the public would put some effort into real problems. Not half as many people get outraged by world famine, ( ... )
