Well, back from running around; I finally found some time to write a journal.
Well first off was Oklahoma, which wasn't bad at all. The weather was really nice, and I finally got to run around in a tank-top. (No offense to MA, but my arms feel like Popsicles most of the time olol) I got to see my baby kitty Milla again~! (And god damnit I didn't take any pictures of her, I was having too much fun rubbing my face in her belly)
Ryan hasn't changed a bit, so I was kind of glad that we were only staying for three days. Not to mention the truck my grandparents gave him shook so violently when he drove it I was really scared to get in it half of the time. I did get sonics ever day, for I demanded it! I made myself sick the last day though 'cause I had ice cream and french fries while riding in that rickety truck around town before getting on a plane. OOPS LOL. Oh sonics, you want me to suffer for your delicious slushies~
Late in the day I flew down to Arizona, and when I got to my grandparents house my cousins were still over there. (It's was like 10 at night ogm) So I just sat down for about 15 minutes before I said I was tired and headed to bed. (Didn't want to be overly rude, but I think they got the idea and they headed out the door) The next night we all headed to my cousins graduation.
Now, it might just be my bad memory, but I don't remember anyone having to pray at DS's graduation. But we did at my cousins, twice. I felt reallllyy awkward standing there in the bleaches while everyone else was bowing there heads and murmuring prayers. Needless to say I was glad to leave 8(
Right now my Mum, grandparents and I are up in Sadona, which is about two hours from the Grand Canyon. We didn't have time to to up to the Canyon this year, but Mum promised next year was a go. Sadona's really pretty too, it looks a lot like the canyon. Our hotel is actually a log cabin inside a small canyon, it's really cute. When we first got here the guy at the hotel counter told us about a hiking trail nearby the cabin, and knowing my Mum she got really exited and wanted to go after we dropped our stuff off. I agreed to go with her 'cause the trail was near a river and it was really nice out.
After discovering halfway up the trail it was closed off to private property, we headed back down and walked across the river on some rocks, and sat down on a big rock in the middle of the river. Now, after a little bit of looking at the water and such I notice a rather big spider on some rocks below my feet. I freak of course, and really want to leave. So as I start to find a different way down the rock there are spiders that way too, which reallly isn't helping my panic situation. Pretty much every way down from that rock there was a spider lingering on the next rock I'd have to jump on.
My biggest fear with spiders is being surrounded by them, and I have to say that was the most spiders I've ever seen in one area. And they were surrounding me. I can't even remember much of what happened but that my Mum noticed I was panicking, so she stated stomping where the spiders where so they would run off. I finally got off that rock and we started heading back to the road, when I noticed there was a spider on ever single damn rock that I had to step on. I think I was almost crying by the time I got out of there. Even three hours after we left I was still twitching at little movement out of the corner of my eye because I thought a spider was crawling on my shoulder, or on the wall, or my shoe, ect. Mostly what happens is that I can still see the image of the spider in my head, and it appears on everything I look at. Halfway through dinner though I start feeling better and stop seeing the spiders. Probably because I finally ate something. So the rest of the evening was ok.
I knew that spiders existed in Arizona, but I never thought I would see so many of them in one place before. Although, the hiking area was mostly forest, so that probably had something to do with it. I can say I'm never going back in there again :(
Tomorrow will be better. Were going to this area where indians set up little shops where they sell jewelry that they've made to support their tribes. I love buying their jewelry, it's always really pretty. (Plus it goes to a really good cause, most of these tribes are small and poor) :3
BTW, my nose had almost bled every day since I got to Arizona. I think it's this really dry heat, my poor nose!
