Well, serving on a jury certainly was an interesting experience. I was kind of afraid that I'd get some stupid drug possession case where a law I disagree with was broken. Sounds like a better experience than my co-worker had. They all believed the guy would get maybe 30 days in jail or a fine. Plus they followed the judge's instructions saying if they convicted him on the 1st charge they had to convict him on the 2nd charge. The 1st charge was like 5 years and the 2nd charge was another 20 years on top of the 1st (both mandatory minimums).

As for educating people about jury nullification, keep some of these publications on hand and pass them out to all the prospective jurors.

I'm like you. I actually want to get jury duty so I can experience it once. We got a notice in the mail last year and I was excited until I saw it was addressed to the wife. That was a bit of a letdown.
